So saw earlier Musk was limiting Tweets users can view from 6000 for verified users, and 600 for non-verified users. I think many initially speculated Musk was trying to strong arm people into signing up for Twitter's paid tier. I just thought this was utterly dumb because obviously it's going to tank ad revenues.
Seems though the real reason this is probably happens reflects his practices since he took over the company. He isn't paying his bills. Recently, it's his Google cloud services he's failed to pay and services are being cut off.

I have no idea why this guy hasn't been sued into the ground from not paying severences, his various offices leases, bills for external services, all kinds of unpaid contract work, salaries in some cases, and now not his cloud services bill, like WTF?! Does he expect to go to Microsoft's Azure or Amazon's AWS like they don't expect him not to do the same?
It's especially troublesome because government agencies use this platform to communicate important information to the public. I think we might finally see his ass dragged before a congressional committee over this. Perhaps he's too afraid to tank his Telsa stock by selling shares.
Anyhow, the site since he took the reins has suffered a number of odd outages and people expected it to die for a long time but it has managed... but, jeez, not sure how much austerity the platform can take.

In somewhat related news Elon Musk challenged Mark Zuckerberg to a cage match and Zuckerberg accepted. Zuckerberg also announced recently his intentions to launch a Twitter competitor. Honestly I expect Musk to chicken out. He'll act 100% down for doing it and then at the 11th hour be like "they won't let me fight because of their stupid woke rules about verifying my vaccine status, I told them I've been 'immunized', so can't fight not my fault".
