Flyers mini camp starting July 8th

The Philadelphia Flyers announced today that they will open their summer conditioning camp at the Virtua Health Flyers Skate Zone in Voorhees, New Jersey, on Sunday, July 8. Forty-one players are scheduled to attend the week-long camp.
Among the players participating in this conditioning camp are first-round draft picks, Steve Downie (2005), Claude Giroux (2006) and James vanRiemsdyk (2007) - Official website

The camps purpose is to for the coaching staff to see some of the young talent that they have to work with. They have drafted some guys who could be key players in a few years time.
Some of them could potentially make the team next year, I would think that they are going to develop them first, instead of pushing the league on them too quickly.
