Both EA and 2K get their fair share of complaints and whining when they post player ratings. A player is either too fast, too slow, too stupid, overpowered, or whatever. Some of this is certainly a result of biased fans who hate to see their favorite players getting dissed in the game. Others simply complain to justify why they lost their last game. In the end, the developers at EA and 2K may be the least biased of us all.
But what happens when the two titles have vastly different ratings? Surely one must be more accurate than the other, but which one? Sportsgamer lists the largest discrepancies and let you be the judge.
The attributes are divided into 4 categories: Skating, Offense, Defense, and Intangibles. For each category we list the largest inconsistencies by position. Unfortunately, we were not able to include a catagory for scoring because the two titles have structured their attributes in such a way that they are not directly comparable.
