NBA 2K9 Feature List Announced Plus New Screenshots

With all the new information coming out EA Sport's NBA Live 09, many fans wondered what the folks over at 2K Sports had in store. With no real announcements coming out of E3, many fans were curious if there was anything new at all. Well 2K has answered your questions by releasing their feature list for NBA 2K9.

  • Adaptive A.I.: Adaptive A.I. reads, reacts, and adjusts in real time to your strategies. Your teammates initiate cuts, picks, and post-ups based on how you handle the ball, while your opponent modifies strategy to fit game pace.
  • Advanced Shot Stick: The revolutionary Shot Stick control system takes it one step further, allowing you to change your shots in mid-air
  • The Association 2.0: With NBA.com, you’ll have access to all the latest rumors, trades, scores, news stories and more, plus new features like Player Personalities, Ambitions, and Player Roles, a plethora of customizable options, and new mini-game drills making this the deepest and most robust franchise mode on the market.
  • NBA 2K online features: 2K Sports’ industry leading online service gets all-new features including 5-on-5 Multiplayer mode with Total Team Control and a new ranking system (from Bench Warmer to Rookie to Pro to Superstar), that shows you how to match up against your opponents.
  • 2K share: Create, upload, and share rosters, sliders, and even players created with the all-new Player DNA feature. The Reelmaker has been completely revamped, so you can now direct your own digital video highlight reels, and post them on 2KSports.com or your personal Web page, for all the world to watch and admire.
  • 2K in HD: Drastically improved facial and skin textures, better uniforms, improved eye movement, and more realistic crowd reactions bring the game alive like never before.
  • Better replays and cutscenes: End each quarter with enhanced, multiple angle replay highlights, and be rewarded with all-new, true-to-life celebration sequences after you capture the NBA championship.
  • All-new broadcast team: Analyst Clark Kellogg and sideline reporter Cheryl Miller join color commentator Kevin Harlan to create one of the most knowledgeable broadcast teams in the game.

Definetly will get this game. 2K8 was ok, but they are cleaning alot of things up in 2K9 it seems.

I like all of the 2ks but i think they should add create your own face with the vision camera that would make the game a 10 rating

I dont no I think nba live 09 will be good online ur actuly playing 5 on 5 will 4 otger on ur team and 5 people around the world on the other thats sweet live 09 might get an edge its so sweet

About time the make winning the Finals more realistic, cause I am getting sick and tired of crowds not even cheering unless the game was close. If a team is about to win it all, the crowd is usually going nuts, and the players are hopping up and down, giving hugs, and flinging their towels in the air.
Give me some of that.

2k9 should add shot selections wheter its quick release, shot leaning forwards or backwards, half court/hail mary prayer, catch and shoot, off the dribble, off balance, open window, clutch

also create your own shot, not choose a registerd shot. this will make 2k9 authentic and real. send it as a suggestion to nba 2k9 creators/ editors/ producers and crew.

Stop it....2k9 better than live 09 what? are you serious, i played that lame 2k8 i couldn't even shoot a jumper, but live 08 you could do somethings, but hey i will give props where props are due, i saw the videos on youtube from the guy that was recreating the Jordan moments using 2k8 now that was tight, but overall gameplay live was better and will be better again.
