The first running option near the goalline that we're going to look at is the Strong Toss to the running back. The best time to utilize the Strong Toss is whenever your opponent's cornerback's slide in towards the middle of the field. The reason we like to use this play when the cornerbacks slide in is because now our tight end will typically run to block him after the snap, sealing everything off so we can get to the outside for the score. |
