One of the new additions to NBA 2K9 this year is online team play. Now you have the ability to play with four other humans on your team and battle 5 other humans on the virtual hardwood. There are already complaints of ball hogs online looking to pad stats and not understanding the concept of team ball. Once again SportsGamer comes to your rescue, with SportsGamer Crews!
SportsGamer Crews will allow you to join teams run by members in the community and battle other teams from the SportsGamer community. We will keep track of records, use the Vbookie feature to wager vcash on games, and much more! Preliminary dicussion as well as brainstorming of new ideas are taking place in the SportsGamer Crews forum section. You can find all info relating to SportsGamer Crews there as well as sign-up. We will have crews for both PS3 and XBOX 360, so there is really no excuse to join in on the festivities.
Tentatively we plan on having a few crews with each having a captain. These captains will draft from a pool of members who signed up, to fill out their rosters. Once teams fill out we will expand to new crews, and members will be able to create new crews as long as there are a minimum of two members to fill it.
