Without going into much more detail, Poutlipper's Week 12 Power Rankings:
![]() | 1. They've got to be getting worried in the AFC. This team can win at home, on the road, on the ground, through the air, and with defense. (15 PCS Points) |
2. In many circles, people are saying this team is as good as the Titans if not better. Easily the clear cut favorites from the NFC. (11 PCS Points)
3. Julius Peppers and the Panther's running game are getting hot at the right time. The Panthers are on their way to their first division title since 2005. (8 PCS Points)
4. When you're QB has passed for almost 300 yards by halftime, you don't generally look at that as a good sign. With Kurt Warner, that's what you like to see. This team is putting teams down now. (7 PCS Points)
5. A huge victory for the Bucs as it keeps them withing a game of the division leading Carolina Panthers as well puts them as the sole #1 Wildcard seed right now. (6 PCS Points)
6. With the Ravens loss, they've gained a little breathing room. (6 PCS Points)
7. Winning cures all. Dallas with a tough win against the Redskins on Monday night are glad to see Romo back. They're now tied for the #2 Wildcard spot. (6 PCS Points)
8. Tough loss against the Giants. Seemed liked very little went right this week. (4 PCS Points)
9. Heartbreaking loss in Tampa Bay. They're now in a 3 way tie atop the NFC North. Could it be time to bring back Tavaris Jackson? (4 PCS Points)
10. I'm not sure what's worse for this team, the fact that they tied the Bengals, or that the day after, McNabb comes out saying he didn't know that overtime games could end in a tie. (3 PCS Points)
11. Jets took a huge win in Foxboro last Thursday. Puts them in sole possession of first in the AFC East. Not too many people questioning them bringing in Favre now. (3 PCS Points)
12. A bit of a reality check for the Falcons. While still 6-4, they are a young team. There will be hiccups, but this team still shows promise. (3 PCS Points)
13. Three consecutive wins puts the Colts 6-4 and in position for the wildcard. The Colts firing on all cylinders is not something the rest of the AFC wants to see. (3 PCS Points)
14. Dominant win in Atlanta by the Broncos. Denver played solid defense, passed well, and ran well. This team could be getting things together at just the right time. (3 PCS Points)
15. When the biggest question for your team is where will Matt Cassel play next year, something is wrong. This team had a must win against the Jets and now sit a game back coming into the stretch. (2 PCS Points)
16. The Dolphins have won 4 in a row and are using the Wildcat formation to perfection. 11 weeks into the season, who would have thought the Dolphins would be sitting 6-4 at this point after posting a 1-15 record last year. (2 PCS Points)
17. Losing 37-3 to the Packers at this point in the season cannot help morale. If Orton wasn't healthy, makes you question why he played over Grossman. (2 PCS Points)
18. Tough loss at home to the Cowboys. After starting 6-2, they've dropped 2 in a row and have left a some work to do if they're going to make a push for the wildcard. (2 PCS Points)
19. The Packers should have the momentum to take the NFC North at this point. A dominant win over the Bears puts them in a 3 way tie for first. (0 PCS Points)
20. Huge road win for the Saints against Kansas City. Despite the first 10 games in the season, the Saints are 5-5 in last place of the NFC South. With Brees at the helm, this team is very capable of making a run for the playoffs. (0 PCS Points)
| Teams 21-32 | |
