4-3 Under - Fireman
Quick Setup
Step 1 - Shift the linebackers to the right (RB + right).
Step 2 - Slide the strong defensive tackle over one notch to the left.

Figure 1 - In this first image you can see that the Green Bay Packers have come out in the 4-3 Under Fireman. It is important to realize that you don't have any safety help over the top, so be sure to stay deep after the snap. Take a look at Figure 2 to see the what we like to do to this play.

Figure 2 - We've taken the quick setup steps and we are now ready to begin the play. The pressure on this play is designed to come up the middle from right outside linebacker Ben Taylor. We would recommend manually controlling the right defensive end (Kabeer-Gbaja Biamila) and either rushing around the outside, or backing off of the line and playing deep downfield to help in coverage. The right defensive end's pass rush is not needed in order for this blitz to work.

Figure 3 - This picture is a great shot of what the setup at the line of scrimmage should look like. We are now ready for the play to begin.

Figure 4 - Immediately after the snap, St. Louis left gaurd Claude Terrell and center Andy McCollum engage with our weak and strong defensive tackles. The action up front after the snap creates an opening just to the left of McCollum for our blitzing right outside linebacker to attack.

Figure 5 - Taylor explodes through the opening in the offensive line.

Figure 6 - Quarterback Marc Bulger has just taken the snap, but he has already run out of time in the pocket.

Figure 7 - Taylor tackes down Bulger for a big loss on the play.
Final Conclusion
The 4-3 Under Fireman is a great blitz to use, espescially if you have a fast right outside linebacker. Consider subbing in your fastest linebacker at the blitzing spot on the field to increase the pressure after the snap. We would recommend either manually controlling the right defensive end, or the blitzing left outside linebacker to help cover deep. Lastly, this play can be beat when your opponent is running the ball, so stick to using it in passing situations to be safe.
