The 46 Bear Buzz Weak is a defensive play that can bring a lot of pressure when set up the SportsGamer way. The pressure is unique on this play because it is designed to come from the defensive tackle. You will want to consider substituting your fastest defensive linemen in at the strong defensive tackle position to really get after the quarterback after the snap. Take a look at this breakdown as SportsGamer shows you how it's done.
46 Bear - Buzz Weak
Quick Setup
Step 1 - Pinch the defensive line (LB + down)
Step 2 - Slide the strong defensive tackle over one notch to the right.
Step 3 - Pull the strong defensive tackle approximately 5 yards off of the line of scrimmage.
Step 4 - Pull the left defensive end off the line and place in just in front and to the right of the center.
Step 5 - Manually control the right defensive end and rush to the outside to pull the left tackle away from the play.

Figure 1 - In this first image the Carolina Panthers have come out in the 46 Bear Buzz Weak. Currently, this play is a 5 man pass rush. When we are done with all of the enhancements it will turn into a 6 man pass rush. We would never recommend sending more than 6 defenders after the quarterback because it leaves your defense with far too many weaknesses. Also, there's no reason to rush more than 6 defenders when there are so many other ways to create consistent pressure.

Figure 2 - We've taken the next step with the Panthers by pinching the defensive line.

Figure 3 - The next move we make is sliding weak defensive tackle Ma'ake Kemoeatu over one notch to the right.

Figure 4 - In this picture we've taken step 3 by pulling strong defensive tackle Kris Jenkins 5 yards off the line of scrimmage.

Figure 5 - Next, we place left defensive end Julius Peppers slightly in front of and to the right of the center.

Figure 6 - Lastly, we take control of right defensive end Mike Rucker and prepare to rush around the outside.

Figure 7 - This image allows you to see exactly what the defensive setup should look like before the snap. Now we are ready to begin the play.

Figure 8 - Kansas City Chiefs' center Casey Weigmann is hit with an overload as soon as quarterback Trent Green takes the snap. Meanwhile, we continue rushing around the outside to prevent the left tackle from rotating over to the middle to help out.

Figure 9 - Weigmann is forced to pick up the closest rushing defender, which is left defensive end Julius Peppers. This is the reason that we placed Peppers slightly in front of Jenkins before the snap. The setup of Jenkins and peppers forces the center to slide to his right to make the block, allowing the other defender to attack the vacated area.

Figure 10 - Jenkins exploits the hole in the offensive line as Green looks to get rid of the ball.

Figure 11 - Green takes one last look downfield before being sacked.

Figure 12 - Jenkins puts all of his 300+ pound frame on top of Green as he takes him to the ground.
Final Conlcusion
The Buzz Weak is a great way to create pressure with your defensive tackles. if you've watched the video for this tip, then you know that it is not completely neccessary for you to manually rush all the way in with the right defensive tackle. Instead, simply rush in far enough to pull the attention of the left guard away from the pressure up the middle. Be sure to head into practice mode to check out this play now.
