If you could bring any former AFL team back to the league.. who would it be?

Norfolk for sure - that was my only reason to care about the AFL. Now the next closest team might as well be on the moon.

Oh, the Miami Hooters. NOT! It was a pretty cool name, but the team sucked. :D

Honestly the fans I feel the worst for is Indiana's losing the firebirds. They actually had a new owner lined up, but because the league has become greedy with their demands for potential owners, they refused to approve the sale of the team, and forced it to fold. They were struggling to rebuild, and ownership made some dumb moves brining in a coach in 2004 with no AFL experience, but once they fired him, the team rebounded when they promoted a longtime Assistant coach.

It just really stinks the way the league didn't lift a finger to help save the firebirds. They moved them out of Albany just a few years prior, just to let them fold in Indiana? There's only been one team that relocated and had lasting success: Tampa Bay. Georgia is the most likely candidate to have stayin' power, now that Arthur Blank has purchased the team.

Personally, I'm against relocation of teams. Historically, moving to a new area doesn't fix the fundamental flaws in the team: Poor marketing and poor management.

I guess I'll have to go with the Maryland/D.C. Commandos simply because there needs to be a team in this area. Come on Snyder.. bring on the Warriors already!

I'll go with the Cobras as well. Them being the only team I know not in the AFL anymore kind of solidifies me choosing them :) lol
