week #8 recap
Wisonsin-40 iowa-35

The badgers and coach-bone went to iowa and found a way to finally stop the bleeding with a close win over iowa 40-35.

the game was a see-saw battle back and forth as both teams were able to march the field against each other.it was going to be whoever had a timely miscue would cost them as early it looked like iowa would hold the edge as they picked off an allen evridge pass off and turned the turnover into points.
But as the game rolled late into the third quarter the badgers defense held and forced a punt which iowa put it out on the badgers 3yd line.
badgers go to guy rb-lance smith who in this game eclipsed the 1000 yard mark on the season took a sprint play to the left and spun to the inside as it looked like he was off for a 97yarder was tripped up from behind,really turned the game around with that carry.
lance finished with 30 carries for 187 and 3 tds for the game.the badgers defense picked off iowa's qb late in the 4th to secure the win for the badgers who play #17 ranked illinois in week#9.

Week#9 recap

#17 wisconsin-44 #16-illinois-35

Camp randall stadium and its fans were in for a treat today as #16 ranked illinois came into madison wisconsin to face #17 ranked badgers,and nobody would be let down by this one.

Illinois jumped on the badgers early as illinois qb-eddie mgee who had taken the starting job over juice williams looked every bit good as he was 6-6 111yds and tds in the first quarter before being knocked out of the game as he through a td pass.illinois led 14-7 and had the badger crowd quiet.

wisconsin was able to close the gap in the second by scoring a fg and a td to end the half to be down 21-18.the badgers were led once again by a heavy dose of running.coach-bone was looking to pound the rock against illinois as badgers rb sensation lance smith ran hard all day against 8 men in the box and finished the day with 37 carries 234yds 3td with a long td run of 51.of his performance coach-bone said "lance really showed the nfl scouts today that he can play on sundays".the badgers scored 13 points in the third and held illinois to 7,and took the lead into the 4th.

juice williams was 18-27 234yds 3td with 4 int"s.the most costly one was with 1:11 left in the 4th he was picked off eric hodge for a 51yd int return for the td to seal the victory for the badgers.overall it seemed like wisconsin was controlling the clock by pounding the rock,but illinois was able to keep it close with some big plays through-out the game.wisconsin heads to lansing michigan to play the spartans in week#10.coach-bone had 4 recriuts at the game and doesnt believe they were let down.we will also see were the badgers land in the polls for week#10.

Week #1 recap

Wisconsin went to indiana this week after coach-bone was aquitted of any wrong doing after his fiasco in lansing michigan last week before there big win against the hapless mich.st spartans.

The badgers were facing the 21st rankes hoosiers on there home turf which was a very snowy day in indiana.purdue head coach fredsmooth was licking his chops after his team hopped into the top-25 last week,and the oppurtunity to defeat a top25 team after his great season as coach of the boilermakers of purdue.

This was a close one through 3 quarters of play as the badgers held a 21-7 lead going into the 4th quarter as their defense held the hoosiers high octane offense to 7 through 3.

Thats when the big offenive line of the badgers and there hiesman hopeful rb lance smith took over an undersized hoosiers defensive line.
On this snowy day the badgers stuck to the run game and threw when needed,smith finished the day with 29 carries 250yds 3tds.
pj hill was injured late in the 2nd with what team officials are calling "tore-testicales".
the badgers have continue to keep the recruiting trail hot as prospects are waiting on the results of the buckeyes game this week.Wisconsin has a gravy 2 games left and should finish the season 10-2 under1st year coach-rokbone.

The wisconsin badgers head into the home stretch of the season with 2 games left.As they prepare for the last 2 games coach-bone and his staff are keeping his teams focus on the last 2 games and preached to them that these games should be cake-walks but to never underestimate thier foes.

When asked coach-bone was happy were he and his team have put themselves in for a decent bowl-game this year and how finishing strong would help his recruiting class.he stressed there were going to be some holes next year for this team,and it will be somewhat of a rebuilding process if he loses some key returners from this season squad.

Hiesman hopeful rb- lance smith may declare for the draft after the break-out season he has had.they will also lose thier top te-t.beckam to graduation,and a few key offensive lineman as well.rb-pj hill who has been a dissapointement this year went down week 11 with a set of "torn-testicles",should return for his senior campainge.on the defensive side of the ball they should be good on the corners,but will lose thier stud olb casillas to graduation and should make a nice nfl player.stay tuned for more reports on the 2008-09 wisconsin badgers.

week#12 recap

The badgers finally were able to get there game in against the minnesota golphers this afternoon after a evening of technical difficulties.
The badgers won this game pretty handily as there defense was the story today as they held the golphers to 176 yds total offense.on his defense coach-bone said quote "we came to play today for the crowd and it showed".

this was a close one early.it was 3-0 minnesota after 1 and the badgers were able to put up 14 in the 2nd to take a 14-3 lead into half after 3 ints by the badgers qb"s.So once again the badgers turned to the lance smith-pj hill show and the fans would not be dissapointed in the second half as the badgers put 14 more up in the 3rd.

lance smith once again had a huge day going 25-197 3tds and qb-allen evridge making his last home game as a senior went 12-18 1 rushing td and 1 int.overall a dominating game for the badgers.hopefully some top 10 teams fall these last 2 weeks to give the badgers a chance to play for a decent bowl game.with losses to penn st and ohio st the badgers maybe looking at a low-budget bowl game even though ranked #12 in the country.

i commented in your team thread.lance is content with his 'NORMAL" work-day and did not have to put it all on 4 quarters as some-people had to.good luck in the polls because we have a weak game for week 13 and we will take full advantage of the oppurtunity.

As Lee Corso would say, "not so fast my friend." The Nittany Lions have a weak game next week also, going up against the MSU Spartans. Not only is their team in shambles, but their coach left due to a disc read error. How many times have you seen that happen?

You can expect my boy DWill to put up some crazy numbers, and you can guarantee that Heisman is coming home to Penn State.
