The Bottom of the 9th Playoffs are set to get underway. On the above bracket you can see the first round matchups. All series leading up to the World Series will be a best of 3. The World Series will be a best of 5. Each round will have a 1 week deadline.

All settings from the regular season will of course carry over to the playoffs. However, one change we will be making is to the number of starters in our rotation we will be using. To make this as easy as possible, being that we are having 3 game series, we will be going with a 3-man rotation. So your #1 starter will pitch in the first game, #2 in the second game, and #3 in the third game if necessary.

Another change for the playoffs is that we will not need to record stats on LD. I will be posting a results/recap thread in which you will need to at very least report all of the final scores. As always, you are encouraged to post recaps of the games as well as give some top performers of the game now that we will not need to record stats. Also, posted in the results thread will show the deadline of when the current round of games will need to be completed by. I'm hopeful that we can get everyone's effort in getting these games completed on time so that we can move through the playoffs as smoothly as possible.

Looks good DNEUM....Bones, let me know when you want to run our series. Saturday night between 6PM EST & 9PM EST. Sunday is out, 'cause it's Mother's Day & the wife would kill me.

Saturday at 6 eastern will work for me. Is Saturday the earliest you can play? I can play tommorow night too..

I can play at 4PM EST (on Sat), can't play Friday (work), if that's better for you just let me know. If not, I'll see you at 6.

Wow. I went to bring the PS3 down to my room and play The Show since i havent played in awhile. I went to put the disk in the PS3 and the f*cking disk was broken. I dont know what happened, if my sister did it or what, but im pissed right now. I dont know if im gonna get a new game or what. If i cant right now, someones gonna have to sub for me or replace me or something.

Looks like this isn't working out, if it doesn't....

Just wanted to say a big thanks to Dneum for setting this up and for all the work he put into it. And thanks to everyone who spent the time writing reviews and playing the games. This was a great league when it was running and I really got some extra time invested in The Show out of it. Hopefully we can start something again sometime with dedicated owners who will make an honest effort to play their games.

If anyone wants to finish this up, you know how to get ahold of me, just post here, not much else I can do though, for my part. I hope this isn't the end of Bottom of the 9th, but if it is, thanks to everyone who participated

Yea it definitely is a bummer that we couldn't knock out these playoffs and at least crown a champ for the season. But it was certainly fun while it lasted and I hope everyone that participated got some enjoyment out of it.

Who knows maybe down the road a little bit once the GTA craze has gone down a little bit and before the football gaming season hits, we can all get together again a finish up these playoffs.
