You guys act greedy as if it's world class website.

Even posting a comment is a chore. You click on comment box and it opens at least 3 pop up pages every time you click just to post a damn thing. Then once you realize a mistake and try to fix your grammar then you have to click 'edit' 3 times before it actually works. But before working it opens 3 more pages. Then you click on a word you want to edit and then same thing happens all over again. Then you have to click post 3 times before it actually works. Then you have to close or deal with over a dozen pages before you can post a simple freaking comment. This site is broken and riddled with bugs since it was redesigned and now we have to deal with popups too as if everything else was already working fine and dandy. Pull your sh*t together. By the way here are the pages it opened just when I was making this thread.

When you say "pop ups" do you means adverts or a just a new tab? This is a setting within browsers itselfs.

If it's ads it may be something external like maliware/adware.

New tabs. And it only happens on gamespot and metacritic.
