Both FC Press can be very effective aslong as you have a defensive Big with good overall defensive IQ or shotblocking skills.

The 1-2-1-1 imo can cause the most havoc because of the ability the trap at all parts of the court.....but the defensive assignments depending on your players awareness could put you at disadvantage very often if the opposing team breaks the initial press in the backcourt.

We ran that FC Trap defense alot in college and it's huge risk/reward type of defense depending on the composure and execution of the team your using it against.

That's what I've been running a lot lately. I like it because of the extra guy back, it seems I never get beat for layups anymore and can still get some easy steals.

Lately I've been playing the 2-2-1 in the 1st half and the 1-2-1-1 in the 2nd half. I think it's a good change of pace if you can run them both effectively.
