This is a list of the new attributes for each position in the NFL Head Coach game. While player ratings are largely similar to Madden, these categories were all new. These were very interesting since the game does use the current gen Madden engine to play out the games. Could we maybe see some of these in Madden in the future? It appeared in the game that all players are rated in all categories, but I grouped these with each position they seemed to go with in the game.

It should also be noted that while players do have an OVR rating as they have in pasts Maddens, that in NFL Head Coach the player actually has a range where their ratings fall. Your QB might perform between a 77 and a 90 depending on how well he practices and how well you coach him during the week. It's very important that you build up trust with your player to see that these things happen.

New QB attributes: Accuracy short, accuracy medium, accuracy long, playaction pass, throw on run.

New HB attributes: None

New FB attributes: None

New WR attributes: Route accuracy, route cuts, press avoidance.

New TE attributes: Route accuracy, route cuts, press avoidance.

New OL attributes: None

New DL attributes: Play recognition

New LB attributes: Play recognition, coverage zone, coverage man

New DB attributes: Coverage man, coverage zone, play recognition, press.

New K/P attributes: None

awesome, it would be great to get all of these and more into Madden. I know in a lot of the wishlist threads, people have been begging for more attributes, and those look like some great ones.

I also really like that the players have a range of ability, so they dont perform the same week in and week out. This game looks better with each write-up i read!

I was surprised to see that stuff in there myself. Those are ratings we've been asking for a long time like you said. It should be really interesting to see how QBs are rated. I'm sure there will be a lot of discussion (arguing maybe heh) about the new QB ratings.

Figuring out these stats is going to be very interesting. Previously, all of this was packaged into AWR.

I could see that this will probably be a PC game for me. Unless they fix the quater length.

I like the new attributes. Would have liked to seen something like "Blitz Recognition" for offensive linemen..

I have read that it will be possible to export your NFLHC career team for use in Madden (presumably M'07). If this is so, that would seem to imply that at least some of these additional ratings could be included in Madden.

That's the thought right now. I think I'll be kind of surprised if we don't end up seeing these in Madden.

WOW thats great maybe its a show of things to come. I don't see why those wouldn't make it into madden 07 good ****.
