Can you be hired as anything else besides a head coach and work your way up? That would be pretty cool if you could start out as a line man coach and then to an o coordinator and then finally to a head coach.

This has been answered previosuly. You decide what you were before you got your "interview" (offensive co-ordinator or defensive co-ordinator) during the "interview" process, but that's the only allusion that's ever made to you being anything other than a head coach. You're hired as a head coach.

I have some more questions

If you have a headset how will that change the game?

Have you been using one?

The headset can only be used to call in plays in the offline mode. Online you're chatting with your opponent like in Madden, so it can't be used there. it isn't a necessity to have the headset, but it is a nice touch.

The NFL.com page of your computer should have that information since that's where all of the player awards are tracked.

Two questions, RAC.

1. Is the "balanced" offensive philosphy just a combination of a few plays from each of the other four offensive styles or is it an entirely different set of specific plays?

2. Is there any indication that the four teams other than the one you called are offering you their head coaching position based on your philosophy responses at your interview? Or... is the AI just selecting four teams of varying talent levels at random?

I'm curious to know if I created a 2nd coach later to start all over & gave all the same responses as I did with the 1st coach if the very same teams would offer me the job or if an entirely different set of teams would make me offers.

I didn't try out all of the philosophies, so I can't say. It may just give you a default playbook for that philosophy. It should be more of a formality than anything else though since you can create whatever kind of plays you want. I didn't get any indication that I was being made offers based on philosophy. If I was it wasn't mentioned in the folders each team sent me. That's a good idea for an experiment though to answer the questions the same way. I do believe it is the exact same questions each time.

Could you jot that down on your list of questions to possibly ask EA?

I'd be very curious to know if the game is creating a profile for you on the basis of those interview responses that "matches" you with teams of compatible football philosphy.

Yeah. I'll make a note of it. I can't be certain we'll get answers any time soon, but if we don't we should be able to take one more peek at this title at E3.

" Not only do you have to win the big games, but when your coaches leave your team for their own head coaching jobs, it's important that they are successful as well."

Now that is awesome

some questions.

1. Exactly how many plays can you take into a game

2. Can you practice your plays at anytime or do you have to wait until training camp

3. Can you let your OC create your playbook or is this something you have to complete? I think it would be pretty cool if you had an experianced OC who can create the weeks gameplan and then you can just review it.

4. Is there any kind of chemistry rating you will have with your staff? Obviously wins and loses will effect it but also I would think hiring a west coast OC to run a smash mouth offense would cause bad chemistry.

5. If there is a way to see your coaching staff chemistry/morale, if it gets low will your staff begin leaving for other teams? Also will you now have a hard time hiring other quality assistants?

6. Is your daily calender where you can either decide to complete a task yourself or give to an assistant?

7. Does the game handle being able to have a depth chart/substitutions for every single formation in your playbook? I ask because madden usually has 6-8 different formations per playbook. However with Head Coach using down and distance to call plays you could literally have 20+ formations in your playbook.

1. When you start with a team do you keep all of the current coaches or do you start with no position coaches?

2. Do position coaches have salaries & if so do some teams limit how much you can spend on assistants?

3. Is it possible for some players to not get on with their teammates & affect team moral?

4. Can you make comments to the press about your players performance & also about opponants (ie play mind games with them)
I would like to se the coach & possibly a couple of players asked a question after a game & depending on the answers it could affect the team chemistry.

5. Are all current player contracts accurate for all teams?
