These questions are probably for EA, since I dont think you guys were able to play human vs. human (online).

1. Will I be able to use my created playbook against another human?
2. What will be the differences in functionality whn playing online vs. offline?

nope, you cant use custom playbooks online. and your second question, i believe you won't be able to use the headset online to call plays, only to talk to your opponent.

Nah, no questions after the game. but the motivation stuff you do in game will affect them. you have to make sure you dont go overboard.

Not sure, didn't notice anything

1. Exactly how many plays can you take into a game

2. Can you practice your plays at anytime or do you have to wait until training camp

3. Can you let your OC create your playbook or is this something you have to complete? I think it would be pretty cool if you had an experianced OC who can create the weeks gameplan and then you can just review it.

4. Is there any kind of chemistry rating you will have with your staff? Obviously wins and loses will effect it but also I would think hiring a west coast OC to run a smash mouth offense would cause bad chemistry.

5. If there is a way to see your coaching staff chemistry/morale, if it gets low will your staff begin leaving for other teams? Also will you now have a hard time hiring other quality assistants?

6. Is your daily calender where you can either decide to complete a task yourself or give to an assistant?

7. Does the game handle being able to have a depth chart/substitutions for every single formation in your playbook? I ask because madden usually has 6-8 different formations per playbook. However with Head Coach using down and distance to call plays you could literally have 20+ formations in your playbook.

As far as practice goes, I don't recall seeing a practice where you actually run the specific plays. I saw different drills, but not something that runs like Madden practice mode. You do practice during the season though, not just during camp.

There is already a book in there based on your offensive philosophy. You can tweak it though. One of the producers mentioned something about having your O coordinator take your book with him when he leaves for a HC job. Not sure if that means he takes it and you still have it or if he takes it and you have to start over.

No chemistry rating that I'm aware of.

This should be covered by your trust level. I do believe that your trust level and overall level as a head coach may affect your ability to hire other coaches. Didn't experiment with it a ton though due to time constraints.

No. You complete all of the tasks on the calendar. You interact with staff during meetings, but I'm unaware of anywhere you delegate responsibilities aside from the part where you send out the scouts to look at players.

The depth chart is similar to Madden. I don't know exactly how the substitutions menu works as far as whether it's formation based or based on the down and distance with which you call plays. Good question though.

thanks for answering but i'm a little confused, you said that you do not run specific plays in practice but only drills. Strouser recently said differently in an interview on IGN.

IGN: What goes into making one good play?

Strauser: It all starts in the gameplan. We have a whole play library and you can add to that library by creating your own plays. Then you get on the practice field and practice that play. If you don't practice, guys will run the wrong route or miss the handoff. It's really important to practice a handful of plays so the team becomes proficient enough that they become money plays in the game. Those are the plays that, when you need a play on Sunday, third and long, those are the plays you are going to go to.

It's possible that's the case, but I didn't find that option. I only got as far as the preseason and then simmed a little after that. Never saw the option. I only came across the different drills, so I guess it's possible that there are other kind of practices as well.

1. In the NFL these days you really on get about 2-3 years to turn a team around and then your fired. In the game will you be fired that soon?

2. You can make trades between picks in the draft but you only have a30 seconds between picks. Can you like pause the game and still make trades? If not it will be pretty hard to makes trades during the draft

3. One of the things that can really set a team back is drafting a bust in the 1st round. How is that a part of the game?

4. How realistic will the trades be?

5. Do you think have no sliders could turn out to be a bad ? If they are flaws to the game

6. Can you set you a gameplan during the week and carry that over to the game? ex. If a team is weak against the run can how can i use that to my advantage.

7. How does the combine work ?

8. Is there anything diffrent about the preseason?

Help me!

I have always enjoyed playing franchise mode on madden! I was excited to see this new game coach coming out. It sounds like my kind of game but was disapointed to see that it wont be released on the 360! You would think xbox would have this avalable for its next generation gamers! So now I guess I have to play it on my pc. Do you know if this game will come out on the 360 and if not is the reg x box going to work on my 360? I have not tried any x box games on the 360 but have herd alot of the old ones dont work.

I think you could probably be fired pretty quickly if you tried. If you aren't doing your job at all your trust and job security levels should go down pretty quickly. In general your job security should be directly tied to the goals that are set for you by your owner.

It's going to happen. It should be a lot harder to progress someone in this game than in Madden since you can't give a running back 25 carries a game and make outstanding plays with him yourself. You'll really have to put in some effort to progress rookie and some of them have a large range for their ratings. This can mean great potential for some players, but also a great chance of failure

So far I like what I see. I wasn't able to pull off anything too easy. Can't say for certain though

Absolutely. It's the Madden engine so I know for sure there will be stuff that will make you shake your head from time to time. There is no way around it. Hopefully it's a "better" Madden engine.

There was some talk about coaches giving you input about the styles of the other team, but since we spent almost all of our time in the offseason, we didn't see this to know the extent of it

My understanding of this is that you send out a scout and he comes back with information. You don't actually see players work out at the combine

I didn't get far enough into the preseason to find out.

[b]I don't believe this is in there, but it should be. The rosters were a big question mark at the time though so I guess it's possible.

We don't know. It's going to be entirely up to Microsoft. They have done a pretty crappy job with backwards compatibility so far so I wouldn't count on it.
