With the last couple of entries, I've given you a glimpse of what the "coach now" mode of NFL Head Coach looks like. With this next couple of entries I'm going to try and address the career mode portion of the game...

are there different position coaches like QB coach or O-line coach? And if there are, can you promote them to like O-Coordinator?

Yep. They have all of the positional coaches and you can promote them.

Can you hire a fictional coach from college? Like say you want to offer a current college OC to become your QB coach.

I'm not sure if anyone will come from college, but at some point you will be hiring fictional coaches since other coaches retire.

can you start career mode with an actual coach or do you have to create a coach in career mode?

Gotta create one. Real coaches can only be used in "coach now" mode.

Hey RAC, do you know if the top NFL players will show up as possible coaches after they retire like Madden's Owner mode?

That's not something I'm sure about. If we do a follow up interview at some point that will be something good to ask.

Speaking of Madden, there is a bug in Madden franchise that does not have the correct subs menu.

Example: I play with the 3-4 defense. When I go to substitutions (in franchise, not in an actual franchise game) - I am only allowed to make subs as if I were running a 3-4.

Also there are depth chart bugs that will let your HB play MLB, when there are other available LB who could fill that role.

Regarding the scheduling feature..

Is the schedule something that needs to be changed daily if we're going to change it or can a coach come in on a Monday morning, for example and customize an entire week at once? Personally I would kind of like the idea of being able to set out what we're going to do as a team and as a staff during the week and when it'll be done, and have that done before everyone comes in for the first day.

Also, what time does your "day" start each day within the game? If I wanted to pull a Jon Gruden and be "in the office" at 4:30 am every day could I?

This sounds better and better with each report....wow.

You can change the schedule well in advance. There are a certain number of slots where you can put an activity that needs to be completed. It doesn't run in real time or anything, you can take as long as you like to complete each task. They just limit the number of tasks so that you can't do something like scout for the entire draft in one day's time.

is there a pro bowl in this game?

If there is we didn't hear about it. I guess it would be kind of cool if you had the opportunity to coach it as some kind of achievement. It's such a vanilla game in real life strategy wise though that I don't know it would work too well in this title.
