1. pre season recuiting - adding the 35 prospects to your big boards. You don't call the players you just add them to your big board. 2. setting depth chart - Only takes a few minutes 3. reshirting players - 2 minutes tops 4. setting schedule - Unless you change a game this takes no time. __________________ Click to check out my '09 NCAA Dynasty - 2013 Offseason Report ![]() Quote:

Re: What all consists of...
Yeah the preseason stuff doesn't take long to do. Also the quick call will be a nice feature for the people that don't like to spend to much time recruiting. You pick how many minutes you want to spend talking to the guy and if you want to offer him a scholorship and it will give you a brief report. All that can be done in 15 seconds.
One of the advantges to only have 5 is we can go through the weeks faster. __________________ Click to check out my '09 NCAA Dynasty - 2013 Offseason Report ![]() Quote:

Re: What all consists of...
Print this out and have a seat on the crapper:
DYNASTY SUMMARY: As the commissioner, I will start off by creating the dynasty and choosing my team. I'll then set up invites to everyone who will be joining the league, and I will assign the teams at that time. This will ensure everybody gets the team that they have rights to. The important thing at this point is that everyone has already signed in online and created an EA account (this is a quick process that registers your PSN ID with EA, no worries about having to sign up for a new username or anything), otherwise I won't be able to find you to send an invite. Once all invites are set up, I'll name the dynasty (please help make suggestions on the name). I'll then set the settings we agreed upon, difficulty level, quarter-length, and QB quiz. If we change our minds about these settings later, as the commissioner, I can change these at any time during the season. At this point, I'll upload a roster file that everyone will be prompted to download when they log into the dynasty for the first time. This is one of the reasons we will be waiting a week or two to get started, to give those roster guys some time to get their rosters up to snuff. I don't like playing with just numbers, and thankfully EA added this ability to force everyone to use the same roster file. No word yet on if I'll be able to change the roster file after the season has started and be able to propagate those changes to all the members. At this point, invites are sent, and the dynasty is live, and put into a pre-season state. Once at the dynasty headquarters screen, you will see a tabbed control center where you can see a lot of info about the other members of the league. Icons will provide quick-look access to see who is online at that particular moment, and who has and hasn't uploaded their game and recruiting information for the current week. Other options on this main page will show you things such as last login date for a particular member, who is the commissioner of the league, if someone has accepted their invitation yet, and if they are ready to advance to the next week or not. If you check out a user's tab and open their main screen, you can view their record, last game score, recruiting time left for that week, and see a custom message that the user can enter. Probably most importantly, you will also be able to view how many times a user has restarted their game for that current week. This would usually indicate they were losing and quit the game to try it over, something I hope we won't have a problem with. During the off season, this screen will show options for what can be done at that point. Once in the pre-season, everyone will complete their to-do tasks, such as recruiting and rosters. Each player will ready themselves to advance to the regular season. As the commissioner, I can force an advance to the regular season if someone slacks on their stuff, and the computer will simulate any remaining tasks that are not complete. Once in the regular season, each player has the option to set themselves ready to advance, update their message, work their recruiting, and set their offline password. The offline password is used so that if two people want to play their online dynasty game on the same console and TV, then they can play the game offline, enter their password to prove who they are, then upload the results to the server for everyone else to see after they've played their game. If your next game in the online dynasty is against the CPU, you'll have the option to play your game for that current week. If it's against another player, you'll have an option to send them an invite if they are online. This board will be used for users to schedule times to play each other when those games occur. If a member of the dynasty ever goes on vacation or needs to take a leave for a brief amount of time, the commissioner will be able to put their account on autopilot, at which point the computer will take over any and all duties, including games and recruiting. Also, should the commissioner ever need to do so, he can wipe out the results of a game that has been played, allowing it to be played again with a clean slate. This will be helpful to resolve any disputes. As the season progresses, the commissioner will have the ability to do quite a few things to keep the season moving. Before each season begins, the commish is the only one who can change schedules, and just as in the offline dynasty, only non-conference games can be changed. If you want your non-conference schedule changed, you must inform the commissioner before advancing to the regular season. This is also a good chance to match any user-to-user teams who might not meet during the conference schedule. At any point during the dynasty, the commissioner can add or delete members. So if someone isn't doing their part or keeping up with the league, we can vote to get rid of them and free up space for someone else who may want to join at any point during the season or off-season. The commissioner can also change the settings of the league at any point, although all settings will not take effect until the upcoming week so that all players are on a level playing field. You wouldn't want half the league to have played their games on All-American, then change the difficulty to Heisman for the rest to play in that week. If a player wants to change teams during a season or during the dynasty, the commissioner can do this. If the commissioner decides to "retire", the dynasty will end, and it can be revived by another member by using the dynasty file on their console. The person who revives it will become commissioner, and new invites will need to be sent to all the members in order to continue where you left off. For regular members, you will have a set amount of time to complete your game and recruiting for that week. The commissioner can advance the week automatically if people are slacking and not playing their games and finishing their recruiting, causing any unfinished tasks to be handled by the CPU. When you complete a game, your results are saved and uploaded automatically. You do not need to do anything. Each time you log into the dynasty within the game, your local dynasty file will be checked against the latest version on the server, and you will automatically be updated with the newest one if one exists. So basically, everything is automatic, with no saving or loading to be done by the user. Once all users have completed their games and recruiting for the week, the commissioner will advance the week, and the cycle starts again. As for everything else in the dynasty, it will act just like the offline dynasty, with stat tracking, standings, Top 25 polls, storylines, etc. Users will be able to retire from the dynasty if they so choose. __________________ ![]() 2008 Desean Jackson Stat Tracker: Receptions: 53 Yards: 775 Punt Return Avg: 9.2 (68 yard return) Touchdowns: 2
