Formations

What formation are you guys using. I am really trying to evaluate all the different formations to find the one that I really want to use. Right now, I'm using a hybrid 4-3-3 / 4-3-2-1 with Barcelona. I'm not totally happy with this formation though b/c I feel that I don't get enough through balls on goal. I attack the field mostly on crosses.

Any formation ideas?

I love the 4-3-2-1 that Barcelona uses. Although it does take time to get used to and there are only a few teams who can use this formation. You will be able to get a lot of through balls if you work the ball around. Also something I've found that works is on goal kicks just pass it out to your defender and without even turning with the ball just send the ball upfield as hard as you can and i'd say 30-40% of the time you will hit a player instride behind the defense giving you an easy shot on goal. In doing this I usually pick up atleast 1 goal a game just from that.

4-3-1-2 gives you a center "playmaker" who can get the ball to two different forwards. Its a good formation and you can mix it up with wing play to play some wide crosses inside the box.

I tend to run with 4 3 1 2 as I have a strong CAM with a couple of good strikers. Works well for the team I have now, Is a good setup if you can use the mids on thru's or get deep in corners and overload on the D. It all depends on the players you field.

I am looking for something more as well. I have not seen (i am still new to this game) but am looking for 3-4(diamond)-3. I am using PC to run this. Has anyone seen this formation?
