NEWS(August Transfer Season)

Milan accepted the offer from Inter for striker Gilardino for 58,000,000
Milan accepted the offer from Arsenal for aging defender Nesta for 34,000,000.
With these funds, Rossoneri acquire Midfielder C.Ronaldo, Fullback Castro, Fullback Juan

SUPERCOPA- Milan Formation

Park Ronaldo

Kaka

C.Ronaldo Pirlo

Gorcuff

Maldini Juan Kaladze Castro

Dida

MATCH PREVIEW

Milan has had an astounding record from the last 2 seasons. Winning the Italia Serie A both seasons, but losing during the semi-finals of the ECC to Porto (Leg 1: 1-0, Leg 2: 2-1) Milan looks to qualify and win in Europe. With the new pickups Milan looks stronger than ever.

Fiorentina is the cinderella of the league. With star Toni and Larsson, the pair carried them with impressive victories over Juventus and Lazio. Past fixtures with both Inter and AC Milan have ended in draws. The duo looks to establish themselves as a threat to European clubs.

The match review is under-construction.

Re: Rossoneri (AC Milan) franchise WARNING PICS

MATCH RESULT

Milan 3 - Fiorentina 1

Milan started off the pitch aggressively, with winger C.Ronaldo pressing the wing on numerous occasions. The first half ended with an Amazing attempt by C.Ronaldo. Pushing up the wing in style, Ronaldo faked out numerous defenders with a salvo of crossovers and speed.

This run connected to forward Ronaldo, but the fiorentina keeper caught the ball mid-flight. Determined, C.Ronaldo pressed once more before the halftime whistle.

The keeper once again denied him, closing out the half 0-0

2ND HALF

A brave press by Fiorentina finnaly tested the newly formed Milan backfield. New acquisition Castro challenged it, slide tackling and clearing the ball to the wing.

Fiorentina once again challenged the defenders with an airborne attempt. But veteran defender Kaladze intercepted the ball mid-air and cleared out of the zone.

Milan broke through with a speedy counter-attack led by Kaka. With stunning brilliance, the Brazillian rushed down the field past numerous midfielders and defenders to give the Rossoneri a 1-0 lead. The showed that the Brazillian was a world-class footballer.

With the momentum from the amazing Kaka run, Midfielder Gorcuff sped up the mid, after a failed Fiorentina attack. The attack suprised Fiorentina, allowing Gorcuff, Kaka, Ronaldo and Park to overload the net. With precision passing, Milan's offense flexed its muscles

Forward Park met the Gorcuff pass and netted his first goal of the campaign.

Park continued with another goal, bringing the score 3-1. Toni scored late game, but it was too little too late, as Milan won the Supercup. The showing of the new Rossoneri was watched by several European GM's. Milan looks to win out this year, and they certainly can with the star-power they possess.

I will update this once I get to another important fixture. The difficulty is at Pro, I should raise it :P. My apologies if the pics are to big, ect.

Re: Rossoneri (AC Milan) franchise *UPDATED*

POST-GAME REVIEW

Seconds off of the pitch, Milan put on massive amounts of pressure. Within the 5th minute, Kaka and Ronaldo pressed the inexperienced Swiss defense.

8 minutes till the half time whistle, the Swiss side bounced back with a freak miss hit from striker Petric. Minutes later, A hole in the Italian defence opened as Petric once again took advantage. Milan defender Kaladze suprised the forward with a slide tackle from behind, the referee's gave the Swiss side a Penalty kick. Boo's from the Rossoneri faithful filled the stadium as Dida failed to block the shot.

Basel made mistakes after the score. Adrenaline took over, as the italians eyed another offensive salvo. Veteran striker Inzaghi replaced a fatigued Park. Super Pippo immediately made an impact, blazing past defenders with a speed not seen since his younger years. A blazing shot cracked off of the goalie as Ronaldo connected the rebound for a goal.

Basel struck back with 2 more goals from Carignano and Petric bringing the score to 4-3. The Swiss side again took the lead against the Italians. Milan played physical from then on. Several great challenges from veteran defender Maldini shutdown the Swiss attack.

Tensions rose as momentum was going to the Milanese. Ronaldo rushed to the goal, only to get robbed by a defender. A slide tackle from the forward taking out the un-possessed player was un-seen by the Referee's, and advantage was played.

The Rossoneri were full of energy as Kaka fired a blistering shot off the crossbar from midfield, the rebound connected to Ronaldo, giving Milan the tie. Seeing the iniative, Kaka completed another brilliant run from the defense zone, to the other goal, a pass connecting to Inzaghi opened the net, but a blindside tackle took the veteran down. Giving Milan a penalty kick, Ronaldo stepped up, and aimed.

With perfect patient, poise and fake, he hit the back of the net giving Milan a 6-4 lead. The Milan players celebrated while the Swiss side saw its defeat coming.

With the whistle, The victorious Italians were deserving of their victory. Basel suprised the world with their courageous efforts. Milan's next match is against FC Porto, who eliminated them during last seasons ECC semi-finals. Can the Rossoneri defeat the Portugese side?.

Exclamation Re: Rossoneri (AC Milan) franchise WARNING PICS

ECC ROUND 1 FIXTURE 3

PREGAME

AC Milan travel back to the San Siro to face rivals Porto. The rivalry began last season when the Italian powerhouse lost both legs (2-1/1-0) to Porto, crashing their cup dreams. The fixtures were brutal on both teams, now a rematch has come to Italy as the Rossoneri face their rivals on home turf. But the face of Milan has changed since their defeat. With the acquisition of superstar C.Ronaldo, a new backfield led by veteran Paolo Maldini, undoubtedly the top midfield in Italy, if not the world, with C.Ronaldo, Kaka, Pirlo and Gorcuff supporting the veteran forwards Ronaldo and Super Pipo, Milan is ready to spill blood, and win at all costs.

Porto has established itself as a powerhouse by winning the Portuguese Liga, and the ECC. A young and talented midfield has been constructed, consisting of insatiable wingers Quaresma, and Vieirinha. Anderson and Gonzales have great chemistry on offense and defense. Look for the ball to be fought on the wings. The Portuguese backfield may not be full of stars, but they have proven themselves by stopping some of the greatest offenses in the league. With the pure speed that Porto possesses, they could run the Milano players down early.

POST-GAME REVIEW

Milan started the game with great pace. Precision passing from Gorcuff to Inzaghi set the tone. A great challenge from the Porto defense sent the ball to the wing. Aging mid-fielder Jankulovski tackled the Porto winger, but at the price of a yellow card.

The free kick attempt failed as Paolo Maldini won the challenge for the header and cleared it, keeping the game 0-0. The Porto offense pressed once more keeping the ball in the Milan zone for most of the half. A great chance for the Porto offense came when a hole opened near the goal. With an amazing and lucky save, the Milan defense regained control following a diving header by Milan defender Juan.

The clearance connected to midfielder Kaka who led the counter-attack against an outnumbered Porto defense. The Porto defense made a terrible mistake. Veteran forward Inzaghi fell as a Porto defender tripped him feet away from the goal. The crowd roared as Ronaldo eyed the net, setting up for a Penalty kick.

But the shot missed the crossbar barely, keeping the game at a stalemate. The first half ended with both teams desperately trying to get momentum. A goal or mistake from either side could prove to be a disaster for either team. The second half began with both teams energized. Porto had a great chance as their speed began to take form. The veteran defender Maldini proved to be just as fast at 40, as he was in his younger years. Winning another aerial challenge, Maldini cleared the ball out of the box again.

The 82nd came as Milan tried desperately to score the winning goal. Both defenses stopped every chance, and covered every inch giving zero ground to the offenses. But the experience of Inzaghi proved lethal. Inzaghi jetted past defenders, to score a blistering shot, and the final blow to a tough Porto side. The 40+ year old once again gave Milan the victory. But it was hard fought with the ball staying in the midfield most of the time.
