Worldwide Soccer Manager 2008

I'm not sure how many of you have heard of this game, but I bought this game on ebay and got it a couple days ago and haven't been able to stop playing it. Just like the title says, you manage a team. You don't actually play in the games like in FIFA or Winning Eleven. I definitely recommend this game for hardcore soccer fans. Anyone else heard of this game or have it?

I'm interested also, it's like a soccer version of Head Coach.

How much is it?

Re: Worldwide Soccer Manager 2008

Its much more advanced then Head Coach IMO, It really is a great game, but I would wait TBH, the new version ussualy comes out in October so I dont think its worth buying right now.

I am not sure what the price is but you can order a digital download too, so you dont have to buy a boxed copy

Re: Worldwide Soccer Manager 2008

I would say its much more advanced because in Soccer, there is just so much more than NFL in terms of scouting(international), reserves, friendlies, transfers ETC.

They also have dynamic relationships, something Head Coach does not have.

I can't wait to destroy in in 09, I traded Fifa and NBA for NHL 09

What do you mean by dynamic relationships?

Re: Worldwide Soccer Manager 2008

like Favoured Personnel, Disliked Players, it can change depending on how your relationship with the player.

I would suggest waiting for the new iteration, or you can download the demo and play that and see if you want to buy it

Edit: the last games release date was Oct 18, so thats 2 months away

Re: Worldwide Soccer Manager 2008

Well Head Coach does have player personalities and player approval with coaches and stuff like that.

I can't wait to try it out in October.

Re: Worldwide Soccer Manager 2008

Ya i bought it on ebay for like 15 dollars so it was worth it to me. And yes it's way more in depth than Head Coach. They have like practically every league and every team. It's amazing. I'm having a blast managing Tottenham right now. And they have like every player too. There is a guy who's on Chivas USA who went to my school. He's only played two games for them all season and they have him and his picture in the game. I'm for sure getting the next one. It's a really addicting game if you are fan of like the managing type game.
