Re: Fight Night Round 4 --- IDEAS ---

i want a good career mode with real boxing. I hate going 60-0 with 60 knockouts. Am I the only one who has never had a fight go the distance? Either i knock my opponent out or he knocks me out. Fight Night is too arcadish. I want to be able to use guys who arent one punch ko artists and have a realistic boxing match.

Re: Fight Night Round 4 --- IDEAS ---

*The parry system in this game is horrible. No boxer after being parried leaves his guard down long enough to get hit with a slow haymaker, that takes five seconds to through it.

*With this new K.O. punch, there is no true power puncher!
In fact, speed and counter punchers have the most advantage. All they have to do is parry and hit you with the K.O. punch which is much easier for the to do. It should not be that way.

*Why did they disgrace the greatest pound per pound fighter of all time, Sugar Ray Robinson like that. Oscar de la Hoya is not as fast as Robinson, nor is Leonard (Leonard has already explained this). He was probably the fastest fighter ever, not only with his hands, but with his feet also. EA needs to reevaluate how they give athletes their attributes!

Re: Fight Night Round 4 --- IDEAS ---

I agree that the next fight night needs a better career mode, i have two ideas that they could use. My first idea is perhaps having to make weight, i think that would add a challenge to your career, and have different equipment you have the option tou use to try to shed weight. My second idea is if you dont play your career mode for an extended period of time, it should take a toll on your fighter, because if you dont train enough for a real boxing match it will pay a big toll during your fight. well thanks for taking time to read my suggestion, let me know what you guys think of them.

Re: Fight Night Round 4 --- IDEAS ---

Being an amateur boxer myself i agree that the parrying system needs to change. parrying in real life is about quick judgement and timing and i believe that it should be the same in fight night round 4. i think maybe they shud have a separate button for parry and blocking. for example; maybe use L2 on the PS3 in conjunction with the right analogue stick to parry and if done at the correct timing it parries the punch, if not at the correct time the punch still hits you.

Also on the previous games in the series it was possible to create your own entrance for your boxer, i believe this should be reinserted into the game for the extra bit of entertainment. boxing is also about bein glitzy and bein a showman to intimidate the opponent so it should be there

What the hell happened to Floyd Maywheather?? he has been the last games but he's now pound for pound greatest boxer in his weight, so why was he not included

Illegal blows are stupid and too obvious, if they are gonna be included they need to make them more sneaky.

As you can see i like moaning and so i'm gonna add one last thing lol.

Face mapping- many games are starting to use it such as Rainbow six-las vegas. how good would it be to see your actual face getting smashed in without having to feel it.

I love the Fight night series and it continues to get better, lets hope dsome of my ideas are actually included

Re: Fight Night Round 4 --- IDEAS ---

Wow good job on all of these ideas. It sounds like we should develop our own boxing series. If you think about it the gamers know what they want not the developers. The corporate structure of the gaming industry sucks. In my opinion take away the deadlines seeing as how their never met anyway, and put out a quality product. I've played all of the boxing games from Ring King, George Foreman's, Evander holyfied, Mike Tyson, they all had Boxing games. EA ruined a good quality boxing game if the player had a little imagination in the Fight Night series. I've boxed for 6 years and there is no such thing as a parry that leaves your opponent vulnerable and unable to defend him or herself to get hit 2 or 3 times while just standing there with a dumbfounded look on their face. That just completely ruined the whole entire series for me. But i sufficed and dealt with it until i had my opponent on the ropes almost knocked out and all of my punches are blocked so I'm forced to go to the body. It's amazing how these developers can ruin a good game with on or two uneducated Ideas. We are the experts as you can see from this awesome thread. Developers gather your audience if you want to make a quality game and quit over paying the fools that are coming up with the games ideas.

Re: Fight Night Round 4 --- IDEAS ---

I think FNR4 should have a RPG-like effect for created boxers.

You create a boxer and designate his weight class. Over time, you can drop or increase weight to box in other classes. However, if you have a slim-built boxer dropping weight could impact power or stamina.

Also, you must spend time training your boxer. If you neglect your boxer he will lose stamina, muscle tone (get fat) or other attributes. The game should be able to tell how often you play and if you play once a week that should impact your boxer's training regimen.

One other factor is developing the boxer's self awareness. If your boxer has a high self awareness he will train on his own which would require less tedious work.

Also, I hope they have robes, Mike Tyson's towel, etc.
