Mike Richards was a great captain for Canada's juniors a couple of years back, so there's no reason to think that he won't be a great NHL captain in the near future.

This season really needs to start

I think we have improved a LOT compared to last years team, which was still a good(if they actually were healthy) team. We have lost a lot of dead weight and significantly improved our offensive side of the game. I think on the defense we are still going to struggle but with the additional speed on the offense it won't be that big of a deal. The new additional speed will allow those players to join the rush and make it back into their own end and hopefully put less pressure on the defense and Esche/Nitty. Just need to keep focused and motivated, oh yea being healthy would be nice too. Here's to an amazing Flyers season

I would love to see somewhere that Esche is out and niitty our new #1. I hate Hitch for not putting niitty in goal against buffalo from the start and giving him the job. He showed for the Phantoms AND for Finland that hes best when under pressure in Playoff Situations.
