I recently made a huge back-up of my console saves & the stuff I have on Steam. Placed them all on my Google Drive as they don't take up much space at all.

I'm a Xbox user so i don't really need to worry about backing saves up as it is stored on the Xbox Live cloud.

I never worried about it to be honest. If my saves corrupt, or I lose them somehow then I just restart. It's not a big deal for me.

Save-data? No, in fact have a habit of deleting save data when I've had my current fill of a game.

When I return to favored classics prefer to play the game as intended. Maxed out gear/ completionist bonuses damage the experience (looking at you Resi2Remake launcher and Evil2 brass knuckles)

I keep multiplayer save data of games I play often, for oblivious reasons. And yet still don't back it up, if I lose my data? so be it. Don't play games for bragging rights.

Now I do back-up entire games on GoG, Bare Knuckle Remake files, music, maybe a few game related screenshots and gifs I generated, PDF novels, and work related content is also a given. Not much else.

My 4TB HD does a fantastic job saving everything and I also have 1TB SSD.

Not really. Cloud backups take care of a lot of it.

I'm not really a big fan of picking up a game where I left off if I haven't played it for more than a few months. I usually just start over.

Yeah, only if I'm traveling across country. Don't see a point backing up game files unless you're transferring to another device.

I don't usually backup my saves. However, I would like to backup my save files to my external hard drive.

Xbox, Playstation and at least Steam all have online save storage. Not as much you need to think about.

I used to actually save my PS3 files to the PSP.

On PC, I do like to keep an external harddrive for mods I've personally created or altered, cause there's a lot of hours tied up in that.

@Ish_basic: The Switch has cloud saves as well.

Everything happens automatically nowadays, so I don't really worry about manually backing up my saves.

Steam has cloud saves, which is great, but older games modded can be extremely dodgy, just recently lost about 40 minutes in Gothic 2 thanks to a DX11 mod and rain.

So yea, save whenever humanly possible.
