How much do you love Yoji Shinkawa?

I think Yoji Shinkawa is the best artist in gaming history. His style is realistic and full of atmosphere. Not quite manga and not quite real. Even when his models are covered in the fog of war they are beautiful and epic.

He's great. So I know the iconic cover art like what you just showed is his penmanship butto what extent does he direct the specific in game art direction? That's not hand drawn at all obviously.

I adore his work. Especially loved MGSV concept arts I think that is Yoji Shinkawa at his peak. Got art book for MGSV and others by him too.

He is god tier.

I don't understand the appeal, but I know that art of MGS is iconic so people must really be a fan.
