Modern city builders-recommendations

Hey All-

Looking for some city builder recommendations.

Would prefer something modern, but if you have an older one, that works too I guess.

Cities: Skylines I have like 800+ hours in and would like something new.

Cities: Skylines 2 is a massive disappointment, and I won't be going back to that any time soon until I see it has had some serious upgrades and QoL improvements.

Can you recommend anything in the same vein as those games?

I guess I could go back to Farthest Frontier, but I'd prefer something set in modern era with traffic and infrastructure like that.

Anno 1800 is only a few years old with more recent DLC adding to it. Of course it's not modern. It is 1800. But there are roads and traffic. Some combat too.

It's a damn good game.

I recently been playing Surviving Mars on PS5 and its been great! It controls great on console but this is a PS4 version so some shit performance sometimes due to weird PS5 compatibility. Give it a try I suppose it will work better on KBM, only played it cause its on the PS+ extra list.

uhh have you tried SimCity 3000 unlimited or SimCity 4.

I especially like SimCity 4.
