As strange as it sounds, Brookbank's a better defenceman than a forward...partly because defence is his natural position. Granted, he's no Mattias Ohlund, but...*Shrugs*

well who's expecting him to actually play his position? He's just a goon, a skating anvil if you wish. If he plays D, you're basically playing just 5 defensemen, whereas if you play him at F, you can put him out just when you need some thuggery on the ice... 11 forwards is easier to play than 5 defensemen =\

That's why the Canucks had the Moose play Brookbank at forward. ;) So he could get used to playing a role at forward, and they don't waste a spot on defence.

Ah well, at least it's Brookbank they have up there and not Marc-Andre Roy. You want to talk about players that have no talent whatsoever. Not to mention him getting knocked out by former Canucks prospect and noted middleweight Mike Brown a couple of years back. What a waste of a draft pick that was.
