It's probably a "just in case" thing, most of these guys seem to be doing that.

Yep, but Reid isn't one of them. In fact, the majority of players on the Canucks/Moose who have signed contracts to play overseas are there, lockout or no lockout. Artem Chubarov's the only one going over who will come back if the lockout ends, or if there isn't a lockout.

Add in Sylvain Blouin and Chris Nielsen, who weren't given qualifiers by Vancouver, and you have a team starting anew...at the most inconvenient of times (new arena opening).

On the plus side it means guys like Krikunov and Gladskikh might be on the team next year adding more talented youth.
