The Team 1040 in Vancouver is reporting that goaltender Alex Auld (Group II free agent) has not accepted the Vancouver Canucks' latest offer.
Meanwhile, the team did come to terms with defenceman Bryan Allen and centre Artem Chubarov.

It's almost certain he will sign I should think, although what is the compensation for him?

I heard that Auld and Sedins rejected qualifying offers

Auld'll sign. He's probably just looking for a bit more money, and/or a longer deal. He had a salary of $900,000 last season, though he earned much less since he was in the AHL for most of the season, so his qualifying offer was likely $990,000. I bet he'll get something done by the middle of August.

Yeah, I could see him holding out for a while. He knows they aren't going to let their future starter go. It'll be interesting to see what he winds up with though.
