Has anyone seen news on WHA team names or logos? I saw the online poll for Detroit, which had their name narrowed down to the Speed, Dynamos, Demons, Cougars or Gladiators, but I haven't seen anything else.

Detroit picked 'Gladiators' for their name...

Was in the Free Press the other day, with the logo. I'd go and get it, but it was stupid :)

I've definitely seen worse. Does this mean the colors are silver and black?

One would believe so. Doesn't look like there's much there for a jersey crest though...

I'm probably just not caring because:

A) I'm going to college in Missouri
B) They're playing at the freakin' Silverdome
C) It's the WHA, I'll be following NCAA and CHL hockey if the NHL doesn't start up again

If Toronto's team can get an arena to play in, they will be called the Toros, and apparently, Dallas will be the "Americans".

Oh yeah. I read about the "Americans" now that I think about it. Great. Well, maybe if we're lucky, two more teams will drop out and we can just have the Americans against the Canadians. Sure would add a little excitement if the Mexicans would get involved, too.
