This will be a huge loss on the Rock. I'm hoping it's true about getting a Q team.

I really don't like how the AHL are pulling out of certain markets, I can understand if they were losing money hand over fist, but these are the places that kinda made the league special and it seems that the AHL is really trying too much to be "mainstream" by going into other cities that have a larger population, while at the same time spreading the league geographically.

In a city as in love with their team as Toronto is, this makes nothing but sense from a business stand point. With it being so hard to get tickets for Leaf games in Toronto, I'm sure more than a few fans will decide to go to Ricoh to see the Baby Leafs play since they already have a loyalty to the pro team.

Wait a minute...so will the AHL affiliate of the Toronto Maple Leafs be...the Toronto Maple Leafs? Please tell me they're changing the name too. Even Maple Leaves would be fine...there just needs some differentiation.
