apparently derian's knee isn't making ANY improvements this summer, and he's dropped out of the World Cup...

also, rumors say that Derian isn't enjoying living in Michigan at all, and his entire family misses Texas... I heard one person say that he was considering retirement and moving back to Dallas if his knee doesn't improve.

didnt he drop out a whileago? Yeah, i'm pretty sure TSN said Gill replaced him a week ago or so.

anyway....i may get yelled at for this, btu how did he mess up his knee? i think i vaguly remeber him coming back form the early season injury and getting injured near the end, btu i dont remeber what happened.

He got checked awkwardly by Bryan Allen is a game against Vancouver really early in the season. I think he never fully recovered from that and played through some pain at the end of the season

Hatcher's agent was quoted in the Detroit Free Press today, and I think he said something like the knee was fine, but Hatcher didn't want to risk doing anything to it.
