Yes! What a great start for the tournament.

And yeah, we played well, but the Czechs were horrible. Especially their big D-men like Malik and Fischer were clearly struggling.

The Czechs need to put their work wear on, but a nice game from the Finns. Many of the line combinations seemed to work good, and it's gonna be useful for them to get some confidence in their power play which looked pretty good at times.

It was really hard to root for the Finns though, as the Swedish commentator did, and he is horrible. Just horrible. :( But I'm hoping Finland goes far in this tournament - after all, we do want to knock you out as late as possible.

That's weird... the ESPN announcer said early in the game that it's "too bad the shot clock isn't on here, we don't know how many saves Vokoun has made." (shrugs shoulders)

I caught that too.

They probably had some member of the broadcast team count them.

They said the scoreboard or jumbotron there wasn't counting them. Of course a score keeper was.

Yeah, as far as I know, the shot clock on the scoreboard has never been used at Hartwall Areena.

Yeah, I was impressed with the finnish crowd. Usually it's pretty quiet, but we really get loud when it comes to international games.
