Hmmm... Sweden-Germany.

Sweden is going to take it. Germany has a good opportunity to surprise, though, I think. Sweden has a balanced team, the guys know each other. Sweden's defence is a questionmark for me. They'll take this 4-1.

Germany, on the other hand, is a challenger. I've always liked when the smaller icehockey-country takes the victory. It can happen today, too. If Marcel Goc continues his awesome strike, it can happen. If it happens, the score will be 2-1.

my only hope is that we fight and show up in this game. if the Swedes score early it could become an unpleasant night for us, especially in front of their home crowd. it'll depend very much on Kölzig and if he can hold us into the game from early on.

i look forward to watch it with friends and i'm curious how our young players will handle this.
Antti, i second that i hope for a good game from Marcel Goc. without any offense from our 1st line (Hecht-Goc-Sturm) we'll go nowhere.
it's scary to look at the swedish roster and all the depth on defense and offense...

anyway, GO TEAM GERMANY!

btw, is it a european or german thing to say 'we' and 'us' regarding the national team. i don't remember hearing that so much from north-americans...

Sometimes I say 'we' when referring to the US hockey team, or my favorite team.

Has anyone noticed those Reebok helmets some of the Germans are wearing, wow, they really look good IMO. :)
