USA VS Slovakia

1-0 Americans. I just turned it on, so I don't know who scored.

EDIT: Brian Smolinski.

It was frustrating because I know where ground zero of where those rumors always started. If the sun shines, you can’t have hockey. I’m a little bitter about that. I’m tired of hearing about it." - Craig Leipold, Nashville Predators owner

2-1 USA on a crazy goal (Hard to explain, so watch the highlights later tonight if for some reason you arent watching the game now. US player slid into the net right after deflecting the puck in.)

Maybe the scratching of Hull sent a message to everyone...

In my opinion, Chara has been the best defenceman in this tournament. None of the US players seem to be able to get away from him, he's been the most physical player in any game I've seen and he seems to be out there every shift. He was good against Canada too, but the rest of his defence teammates weren't

The Americans also seem to be playing with alot more heart in this game. They need to find a way to finish though. Lasak has been incredible, but you have to score on some of those goals. The sprawling glove have is a good example, Lasak just had a second too long to get something in front of the puck.

Thirdly, Hossa needs a new move. Three straight time I've seen him try and beat the goalie five hole. The first time was in the pre-tournament game where he did score on Brodeur. The last game against Canada he did it again and Marty stopped him. He tried it again vs. DiPietro and he looked more then ready for it

Hopefully the third is as entertaining as the first two periods

Pretty third goal by Guerin. Too bad the team isn't gonna do much in the way of actually winning the tournament. It took a fluke goal to win the game, against a team which Canada mopped the rink with...

I agree with Sniper, Chara is quite a monster. Awesome to see such a big, skilled defensemen...

A few of the US's players cheap play is going to cost them big time in elimination games. I think that is what is going to bring the tournament to an end for the Americans.
