WCOH Related/ What the hell is wrong with Näslund???

I need to vent just a little.
The ones who have seen all the Sweden games, specially the quarterfinal, have you seen Nazzy´s behavior?
He doesnt hold the puck!
He seems to be afraid of the puck.
Whats wrong with him???
Several times in the last minutes you could even see he looked scared or something for holding the puck. In 2 sequences he passes away the puck as soon as he gets it.
WHAT GIVES???
Im so sad right now. Ive followed Mackan intensed since his time in the Penguins.
The only thing I can relate to is the Moore/Bertuzzi accident. But has that really affected him THAT much?
Man, as a brokenhearted fan, id like to speak to Markus. Give him a hug then ask him whats wrong, it hurts to see him like that on ice.

I don't know, but I've quietly been noticing his play over the past year, and it just doesn't really seem like his heart is into a lot of the time..

he still comes up absolutely huge sometimes, but other times it's almost as if he doesn't even want to play anymore... he just seems to have this defeatist spirit sometimes

I think he needs to win something big to get his spirits up, and this game today sure didn't help =\

You might be right about him needing to win something, but I have a feeling this is something else too. His play is specially shown during the WCOH.

but ask anyone at GM Place when he essentially took the 5 guys on the ice on his back, and set up the tying goal with under 5 seconds left in game 7 this playoffs

Naslund is an awesome player, but playing for Sweden is a different thing for him. He's the kind of player who needs the ice time and confidence of his coaches to do great things. It seems no one in Sweden thinks much of him, and it surely hurts his play

exactly... at times when he does fired up and intense, the guy is incredible/unstoppable... but other times.. he just isn't 'there'
