Nike V12 Skates
Just ordered a pair...anyone got any reviews on this? I was surprised at how comfortable it felt when i was trying them on.

I heard mixed opinions about em
I heard people at shops say take the Vapor XV over V12 and I've heard take the V12 over any vapor (mainly because of the Perf Steel) I personally prefer Nike skates over Bauer skates, especially the new Flexlites Overall I think the skates should be really comfortable and fine and dandy. Yammer they looks like this ![]() |

A Teammate of mine has these skates, and he likes them. In last night's game, one of his steel blades broke (luckly at the end of the game). I'm pretty sure it wasn't the first blade he had to break.
Personally, I don't like too much how they look. I guess I'm more a fan of the traditional style Bauer boot, but when I see the newer stylings with the Nike and Reebok stuff, It doesn't tickle my fancy. __________________

One of our guys just got a pair of these in for training camp next fall. I haven't got a chance to talk to the head guy abou these skates yet. However, I know in past Nikes they broke down very easily, even more so than the Vapor XX. I have heard that these boots are much more durable and more comfortable than in past years. Also I have heard that the skates are a more comfortable fit than the Vapor models.

1) I use Bauer Vapor 10s (from like 4 years ago) as my ice hockey skate. That bitch is still stiff as hell so it's gonna remain my ice skate.
2) I bought this to use as a roller hockey boot because its so damn comfortable and plenty stiff for 2 games a week for the summer. 3) Ive heard the stuff about how the blade and holder tend to break or fall off on some production models (you can usually tell if its slanted when you get it) - but ill be removing the Tuuk Lightspeeds as soon as i get them and installing a roller chassis. 4) I dont care about looks, these are the first skates ive ever worn that fit and feel like a running shoe! |
