mini bearings?
I'm looking at getting a set of wheels and mini bearings for indoor roller hockey. Decent price, but the bearings are Mission abec 3's. They are their "Wicked Spin" bearings.
I am currently using just a generic abec-7 i think, normal sized. however, they're pretty dirty and have been used outside and stuff, and are 3 years old on top of that. used in rain before, too... if i really effort it, i'm as fast as anyone else, but i'm not sure on the condition of my bearings. would this be worth it for me or not? i'm skeptical about dropping from 7 to 3, even if the 3s are new advice me, boys. |

I think getting super high abec bearings for roller is overrated. I mean most of the time you aren't going to be skating full tilt anyway. Plus I hear the mini bearings are supposed to be a lot smoother.
****, my first ever roller hockey game I used OUTdoor wheels with abec-3 bearings at best. I was still faster than everyone else and got 3 points. |

I think bearings are pretty important, then again I've never really had a set ****ty enough to complain about. They're not going to really improve your speed, youl'll get a little bit more speed I'm sure but at least 90% of it is if you can actually skate.
Indoor wheels are a must, if you play at that rink all the time Randy you should really get some. Stopping and turning are so much easier, I remember the difference when I got my first pair of indoor wheels a couple years ago. The floor at that rink was actually decent for skating, I don't know if you had any problems with your outdoor wheels but if you get indoors you'll be able to stop and start with no problems there. Don't use them outside though, I've ****ed a few pairs up that way. |
