My next stick
My Easton Cyclone is getting towards the end of the line, and I've been eyeing a few sticks this week at the pro shop. I've particularly been looking at the Reebok 7K Prolite and the NIKE BAUER Vapor VIII. I know a few that use the Vapor, and I've heard some good things, and the Reebok Prolite is just a tad cheaper at our local shop.
Anybody have any suggestions as to which would be the better buy? My cyclone is still in good condition, but I think a change would be nice, then I'd always it as have a backup. |

I've always used Mission. I had a Vapor VII and liked it; used it for outdoors. Don't know much about RBK sticks.

I usually stick with Easton Synergy's (I just bought a pair of SL's the other day), but i'd go with the Nike Bauer one. Something about the feel of that stick just seems like its the better choice out of the 2. And i'm gonna guess thats the proshop down in vineland?

RBK 7k:Probably one of the less durable stick i ever had.I broke it after about 3 games and and i played with synergy ST(green one) since that for about 35 games without any problems.

whatever you get, i suggest buying them online if you're going to buy more than one. I just got my SL's for around 300 from Kemps hockey. I haven't had a problem with them since i started using them 4 years ago. many other sites like great skate work too.

I went with the Vapor, picked it up this afternoon and practiced with it tonight.
I like the control I have but the grip is going to take some getting used to, my old stick had none left whatsoever, so it was kind of a shock when I went to take the first shot. It'll come with icetime though. The real test is tommorrow, game-time. :D |
