I bought a Sherwood 5030 woody F St.louis curve which is too straight... i thought i was getting the sharp Coffey curve but didn't look carefully.
Needless to say i have not been using this stick at all for a year now, i talked to a teamate and he said to boil water and dip the stick blade in then curve with hands and reapeat process...I 'm looking at curving it to a Coffey curve or the 1-Peice Vector J.Thorton curve i have on my more expensive stick. Does this work ? a friend of mine once heat gunned and destroyed his wood stick! hah... __________________ Mariusz Czerkawski's #1 FaN |

yes, you need a heat and lots of it. Like a Blow Torch.

Boiling water? No.
Use a heat gun, or a blow torch. Don't hold it too close or you'll burn the stick, and it'll snap when you use it. |

****, it's been over a decade since I last did it. From what I remember, put the flame in the middle of the blade to soften it and bend the tip of the blade.

if you want an accurate blade curve buy a ProCurve from epuck.com and heat up the blade and use that sucker. Remember though, when you heat the blade, you weaken the blade by quite a bit.

what you should have done was buy a stick that had the curve you wanted instead od taking a chance on wasting 30-40 dollars cause you tried to do something you know nothing about just my opinion not trying to be rude.
