Inline hockey skates
I wasn't sure where to post this. It's not a review, so I'm guessing it doesn't belong in the hockey gear review forum...
I'm interested in buying these guys... http://www.hockeygiant.com/bauvapxsktsr.html But I wanted to know if I'm getting the right size. I wear a size 11 US shoe, and according to the sizing charts I've seen online, size 10 Bauers would fit me. However, I personally like my skates snug, in fact the reason I'm looking to get new skates is because the Missions I have now are loose and my ankles start to kill after a while. Hockey Giant is out of size 9, but if I can wear size 9 without stopping the blood circulation to my feet, I may search around a bit more. Oh yea, and I'm located in Delaware so it's tough to find a place where I can try on skates like these. All the Pro Shops only carry Ice hockey stuff. |

Skate conversions are all messed up..
If you have the means, go to some kind of store and see if they have the skate you're looking for, just so you can try it on. Helped me out a lot, my current skates are CCMs. I'm an 11.5 shoe and I was gonna buy size 10s, I tried them on in the store and they were way too big, size 9 was a much better fit.. So I went for the size down online and they fit awesome.. Always better to be safe and just try them on. |

The skates I posted earlier seem like a steal at that price, but with my luck, they don't have any 9's in stock and they won't be getting anymore...ever. So I'm going to get these in 9 and hope they're more comfortable than my Missions. http://www.hockeygiant.com/nvhm4070sktsr.html Slapshot, the only store that carried inline equipment where I live went out of business. There isn't much of a demand for roller hockey equipment down here. I could go to PA, or Jersey and find some stores but I'm too lazy. :) Thanks for your help guys. |

Get Tours. Best and lightest skates on the market. Trust me, I've worn them for years.

I ended up going with the Bauers. Sorry Drew, I just don't want to take a chance with a brand I'm not familiar with. Although, I do have Tour goalie pads, and they work fine for me...
Now, can anyone recommend some gloves. I'm looking for the best value. I play inline hockey for fun, so I don't need anything special, but I would like a pair that's nice and soft. |
