CCM FIT System on skates

Has anyone heated their skates in the oven at home to fit them. I own a pair of CCM skates with the FIT system in them and I was wondering how much heat to use and how long to heat them for to fit them? Also I have had the skates for about 10 months, can I still heat fit them?

I haven't actually tried it yet, so I'm not fully recommending following this.

Just take them to a skate shop, they will have a skate oven specifically designed to do this. I've had it done on all my skates. Makes them 100% more comfortable imo.

My skates are still not fitting great so I may try that myself.

It's probably one of the best feelings in the world getting your skates baked.

Re: CCM FIT System on skates

If you have a convection oven you can do it. I've baked my skates a couple of times. I think I may have to do it again soon as well because I'm getting some pain after skating which didn't happen before.

Re: CCM FIT System on skates

I've always done it at the shop and gotten very good results from it... Granted, I haven't bought skates in about 7 years, so things may be a little different now with them, but my old 952s have always fit really comfortably...

I am pretty sure its 250 degrees. Thats what my Vapor were. It was 250 for 2 minutes. It said in the box incase you wanted to do it at home. You should call CCMs customer serivice and ask.
