Stick torching?
I've seen many players torch the end of their sticks close to the blade, and I still don't iunderstand what that does. Due to the fact that heat expousure to the shaft makes it weaker, i'd assume that it might add a little more flex down there. What do you think?

The torching is mainly used with wooden blades, but now that most players use composites, they either bend it under the door or use "specialized" tools to get the curve exaclty as they want it.
