This week's community questions asks, what sport would you like to see a video game on this generation's consoles? Want to see cricket? WNBA? Rugby? etc...

Re: From the Bleacher Community Question: New Sports Titles
Even though I asked you guys the question about the woman sports back on like the second show and Shanker doesn't like it when girls play sports, I'm going to have to go with Cricket!
The ICC (International Cricket Council) said like a month ago that they want to try and Americanize the sport of Cricket. They are going to spend like $48 million to bring it over to the US and maybe Canada (for a 5 match/1 day event). I don't think it will get popular but if it does, that sport will become an instant pick up for EA to buy out Cricinfo - Azhar, Miandad to play in Twenty20 event in USA |

Cricket would be interesting to see played in the US since you're allowed to hit the pitcher with the ball.... :D

I think Handball would be fun to play. Although it is a predominantly female sport in most of Europe, it is definitely a male sport as well. It is kind of a mix between basketball and soccer.

Definitely up in New York and Michigan. They love UM Hockey and Buffalo I think is really good. There is a group on facebook with like 20,000 some people on it for NCAA Hockey game.

Re: From the Bleacher Community Question: New Sports Titles
EA have made both Cricket and rugby games in the past. I've never really played the rugby games, but the cricket games lacked gameplay balance in my experience.
Lacrosse could make a cool game, but it would have to be done well, else it would just feel like a less controlled version of hockey. A field hockey game would be quite cool. I think I've mentioned before that I would like a decent Rugby League game. For those who don't know, rugby league is to Rugby Union what the CFL is to the NFL, i.e. Northern and slightly less popular lol. Seriously though, it is more like football than Rugby Union. As for women's sports, a softball game could be ok. Dunno about WNBA, a lot of people regard it as a joke. At least softball is taken slightly more seriously. __________________ Don't it look so pretty this disappearing world http://cryogames.informe.com/forum/index.php? |
