What is a glitch?

Apparently a lot of forum readers do not understand what a glitch is.

Put simply a glitch is a flaw in the game that can be exploited AND is unrealistic.

Lets look at some examples of glitches AND strategy over the past 2 years.

A NANO or whatever you want to call it is NOT a glitch in any way shape or form, it is overloading a spot on the line with blitzers, and risking coverage and rush in another area.

QB sneak - Calling a running play and having the handoff purposely not work leaving the QB with the ball to run, while not designed as part of the game it certainly IS realistic, play action run plays are often done in football.

Run / Pass Glitch - This is a glitch, your opponent can see what you are doing, running or passing.

Catching the ball out of bounds would also be a glitch.

All to often people call good stick or strategy cheese or a glitch - KNOW THE DIFFERENCE!!!!

In our forums we will not discuss glitches, if you ask for one or discuss them your post will probably get deleted.

So it is in your benefit to understand the difference so your legit posts don't get deleted.

I will not delete a post entitled "Deep lob strategy"

I have been beat with the long ball lately. Coming out of the wr streaks or shotgun play action, I have noticed the safety (both), do not break on the ball until it is too late. I have had as many as 21 points scored on me within 30 or 40 seconds. I have found a way to stop it, but is is called a glitch or is it just something that was found to be effective in the game?

a glitch is a problem in the Matrix or what stitch had in Lilo and Stitch part II.

Back off the corner checking the "unstoppable" WR, then as soon as he snaps the ball hit the R stick UP.

Also bring pressure from both sides with blitzeers (OLBs or CBs) and make your D-line rush outside (L1 then R stick UP)

Keep 2 safteies deep. in zone.

This should work about 85% of the time. Enough to frustrate your opponent to to make him stop it.

It also helps to have the best speed matchups. Don't let a guy like Anthony Henry (88SPD) check a guy like Chad Johnson (SPD94 I think). Go to Defensive Assignments and set it up right.

All of this is basic common sense against the deep pass, but will likely get you killed against the in side run. So occasionally bring everyone down to the line of scrimmage to deter his audible into a inside run. Triangle then left on the D-pad.

You cant play soft D and expect to always stop the bomb. Bringing pressure from all angles, keeping your opponent guessing will make him nervous, face it people could do without the blitz coming at them. BLITZ or be BLITZED!!!!!!!!!!

LOL this site just gave out a glitch. How can they say they dont give out glitches a umbumable is a glitz. It is un realistic so that makes it a glitch
