Re: Greenbay Packers Franchise
![]() Coach McCarthy Names Team Captains -Ralph Turray Coach McCarthy recently named the 07-08 Packers Captains. There is no doubt in my mind, that they will lead this team to a deep playoff run. ![]() #31 Al Harris CB 6 year veteran for the packers ![]() #80 Donald Driver WR 10 year veteran for the packers ![]() #74 Aaron Kampman DE 7 year veteran for the packers Update: I didn't name Favre a captain because he has cannon arm and fan favorite as attributes and i didnt want to lose the fan favorite for the season, besides, we all know he is a captain. Ill start playing preseason, no stats will be given for every position/play/ETC, just who won, and stats that capture my attention. Re: Greenbay Packers Franchise
![]() ![]() Teams Go Shopping - Sal Paolantonio It was a busy week for NFL Teams as they signed free agents on their rosters before preseason kicked off. The team that surprised me most was Kansas when they signed 4 RTs. Corey Dillon also came out of retirement to sign with the Titans, much like Seau signing with New England after retiring from the Chargers. NAME-POSITION-YEARS-WORTH CHICAGO J. Re: Greenbay Packers Franchise
![]() Packers Preseason PACKERS 17 at STEELERS 23 /OT Recap: What a huge game, it was intense, the Packers couldn't hold on to their 17-10 lead and was done in at the end by a 50 yarder courtesy of Charlie Batch, too bad it was preseason, then the Steelers would have had something to actually celebrate. -Ralph Turray, Packers Public Relations SEAHAWKS 24 at PACKERS 10 Recap: Brett Favre came out gunning tonight to give the Packers a 10-7 lead at the half. As soon as Aaron Rodgers stepped out though, the Packers just died out. I'm not so sure about Aaron being ready, if he wants to play with the Packers, he better work on his game more. -Steve Young, NFL Live Analyst JAGUARS 17 at PACKERS 9 Recap: It was quite a game as the Packers took a 3-0 lead through the first quarter they doubled the score with another kick from rookie Mason Crosby to make it 6-3, he scored all Packers points. Unfortunately, the 2nd string defense couldn't stop the Jaguars offense and Quinn Gray looked unstoppable in the 2nd half. Jones-Drew amassed 89 yards through the game, most which came during the 2nd half and the Jaguars go on to win. -Trey Wingo, NFL Prime Time Commentator PACKERS 21 at TITANS 24 Recap: What a game! Aaron Rodgers stepped up with 8-11 made passes and a touchdown to secure a 21-17 lead with 1:14 to play. The defense looked over matched, but the 1st string did their job during the first half. Congrats to Aaron, even though they lost, this will be a very uplifting morale win for the team. -Chris Berman, NFL Live Commentator Update: -That steelers packers game was so intense! The CPU tends to be unstoppable during the 2 minute period, ne way of toning this down cause charlie batch was 1-4 before the 2 minute period and just went 8-14 at the end of the night, just bombing the ball down field, if you have any tips, that would be appreciated. I'll play more games tomorrow, like i said before, no stats will be posted during preseason -Damn, Aaron Rodgers' 86 accuracy rating isn't the problem, the corner backs cover and jump on the ball like no other! I've already lowered awareness and knockdowns to 7 and 8 respectively, but I shouldn't really complain, I'm going for realism, and I think that it was a pretty real game, so never mind my rant :P *ANY ONE HAVE A CAP ON GRANT? HE ISNT IN THE GAME* -I figured that by playing guys that are rated 80 and lower i will get crushed :/, AND friggin refs called 3 holding calls in a row after busting for 1st downs after every call. Should I tone the holding call down? our next game is the Titans and they are also 0-3, we'll see if we can win at least one. - Aaron Rodgers was unbelievable, so my strategy is to run the ball and just throw on third downs, using the roll back for the receiver it throws of the corner and walah! first down. Friggin Kerry Collins was just bombing them during the last minute and I played a Dime Cover 4 defense and they still got through, none the less I think we'll be able to win a game even though preaseason was 0-4 Last edited by akamainevent66 : 05-17-2008 at 07:59 PM. |

Re: Greenbay Packers Franchise
![]() ![]() Vick Suspended Indefinitely - ESPN analyst team NEW YORK -- The NFL has suspended Falcons quarterback Michael Vick indefinitely without pay following his admission of guilt in a dogfighting scheme. On Friday, Vick filed his plea agreement in federal court admitting to conspiracy in a dogfighting ring and agreeing that the enterprise included killing pit bulls and gambling. He denied making side bets on the fights, but admitted to bankrolling them. ![]() -Vick's rushing can't help him escape for the sack of the law "Your admitted conduct was not only illegal, but also cruel and reprehensible" and regardless whether he personally placed bets, "your actions in funding the betting and your association with illegal gambling both violate the terms of your NFL player contract and expose you to corrupting influences in derogation of one of the most fundamental responsibilities of an NFL player." Goodell freed the Falcons to "assert any claims or remedies" to recover $22 million of Vick's signing bonus from the 10-year, $130 million contract he signed in 2004. The commissioner didn't speak to Vick but based his decision on the court filings. NFL spokesman Greg Aiello said Goodell may meet with Vick in the future, and Goodell said he would review the suspension after all the legal proceedings. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ ![]() ![]() Pacman Wants to Tussle - ESPN analyst team ![]() -Adam Jones ponders on his future before suiting up ORLANDO, Fla. -- Adam "Pacman" Jones ended up surrounded by police Sunday night. This time they were actors trying to help the suspended cornerback, who had been allegedly "attacked." Pacman Jones made it to center ring in his pro wrestling debut, but was not allowed to wrestle because of his NFL contract. Not a finger was laid on Jones on-camera Sunday at the Total Nonstop Action Wrestling event, but several were awfully close. A wrestler rushed the stage after jawing with Jones, but four actors with police clothing tackled him just out of reach. Minutes later, the studio television screens flashed to Jones backstage, lying on the ground after being purportedly attacked. The Tennessee Titans got a court order prohibiting Jones from participating in any wrestling activity after he promised in a taped segment Thursday on TNA's weekly Spike TV show to appear. Jones, the team and TNA reached an agreement Friday allowing him to perform -- under extensive stipulation. He could not touch or be touched, grapple, shove, throw or have anything thrown at him by anyone working for or watching the show. The Titans did not immediately return phone messages late Sunday night. Update: Just want to make parallel plots from real life into franchise story, last game about to be finished, more news coming up, those are real stories written by ESPN analyst, they are in no way mine or taking credit for them Last edited by akamainevent66 : 05-15-2008 at 09:05 PM. |

Re: Greenbay Packers Franchise
Is it just me or does the quarter back seem unstoppable during the 2 minute period? cause Kerry Collins pissed me off. Injuries and position battle winners will be announced, whooo the running back battle was intense!
