Re: A New Beginning - A Boston Shamrocks Fantasy Draft 'Chise

SHAMROCKS PRESS CONFERENCE

Bill Buckner: Thank you all for coming. As the new owner for this expansion franchise, I have interviewed several candiates for the head coaching position, but in the end I've narrowed it down to three. They are all collegiate coaches who I believe can develop our players and give us the best chance to win. Without further await, here are the candiates.

RICH RODRIGUEZ, HEAD COACH OF THE WEST VIRGINIA MOUNTAINEERS
Although there has been rumors that he might take the Michigan head coaching job after Lloyd Carr retires, Rodriguez has shown much interest in this job. His spread offense would be very unique in the NFL.

PETE CARROLL, HEAD COACH OF THE USC TROJANS
Pete has dominated the collegiate level lately and I believe he might deserve a second chance to coach in the pros. He runs a successful offense that would convert nicely to the NFL.

JOE PATERNO, HEAD COACH OF THE PENN STATE NITTANY LIONS
Joe is a longshot because of his age but he's a master of teaching. We might look to go young in the draft and I would want a guy that the rookies on this team would immediately look up to.

Buckner: As you can see, I have three highly-touted coaches running for the job. I'll interview each and pick one before the draft. However, I will not tell you got the job until after the draft.

Re: A New Beginning - A Boston Shamrocks Fantasy Draft 'Chise

NFL PLAYER/NEWCOMER DRAFT

Chris Berman: Thank you for tuning in to this year's NFL Draft. This isn't your father's NFL Draft though, as the elimination of the Patriots' franchise has brought upon us a new era in the NFL Draft's history. That's right, an all-players draft. Kinda like something you would do on John Madden Football, right? Well this is the real deal. Kansas City won the draft lottery held early this morning to gain the rights of the #1 pick. They will pick #32 in round 2 though, as that is how the draft format is set up. The new Boston team, the Shamrocks, will pick #8. And without further await, Commissioner Goodell will read off the Chiefs' selection.

Roger Goodell: Thank you all for coming as we will usher in a new era in the NFL this year. With the first pick of the NFL Player/Newcomer Draft, the Kansas City Chiefs select... Ed Reed, free safety formerly of the Baltimore Ravens.

Berman: Hmmm, kinda shocking. I was sure they'd go with LaDainian Tomlinson, but they pick up a great player anyways.

(31 picks later)

Berman: With the first round finally over, here's a recap of the first round of the draft.

You listed the Browns twice, one of them looks to be the Bengals

Nice pick in getting Peppers, i'm gonna keep track of my Lions though, and they picked Peyton, lol.

Are you going to post all rounds of the draft, like 2 or 3 at a time?

Hey, your right. Whats up with that? I thought woy said all the patriots players would be in the draft?

Anyway, woy, nice thing you got going here. I was a little shocked when you picked Peppers because persnally would of selected a RB because I'm offense orinantated. But this is your chise, keep it going.

Re: A New Beginning - A Boston Shamrocks Fantasy Draft 'Chise

i just realized that i have been using the wrong rosters.
it won't make that big of difference though, because i only knocked down a few players ratings by 2-4 points, and moved up vince young's and other titan's ratings up by 2-4 points too, lol.
i'm not planning on doing round by round coverage, i'll just name important players and tell you what team they got drafted by.
updates will come tomorrow, tonight i have a big dinner that i need to go to, sorry for the inconvience.
