EAST RUTHERFORD (AP)- After blowing a 17-0 lead, the Shamrocks got their first ever win in franchise history when rookie Justin Medlock kicked a 29-yard field goal in overtime to defeat the New York Jets, 20-17. Starting quarterback David Carr struggled but the Shamrocks turned to runningback Shaun Alexander, who had 167 yards and a touchdown on 22 carries. "Shaun ran real well today," says Coach Pete Carroll. "Our line had some excellent holes for him to run through and he took advantage." Michigan rookie Steve Breaston had a nice game also as he was Carr's leading receiver with 5 catches and 94 yards. He also returned 6 punts for 112 yards, including a clutch 31 yard return to set up the game winning field goal. "The game is definitely faster in the NFL, but I definitely felt like I caught up to the speed of the game," explains Breaston. The Shamrock defense was awesome too, as the got 3 sacks from tackle Rod Coleman and 2 from Julius Peppers. They also held Thomas Jones to 68 yards and a touchdown on 26 carries. The Shamrocks will host the Chargers next week. Re: A New Beginning - A Boston Shamrocks Fantasy Draft 'Chise
he was on the chiefs roster i believe. i didn't draft my kicker and punter until the last round, so i didn't have to waste a mid-round pick on them.
i should get a game or two done tomorrow, but i have a party to go to that night, so they won't be up until sunday. __________________ ![]() big ups to Macken for the sig, thanks bro.

![]() BASHING THE 'BOLTS ![]() Shamrock runningback Shaun Alexander leaves the Charger defenders in the dust on this 80 yard touchdown scamper. ![]() Steve Breaston points at the camera while doing a celebration dive into the endzone. ![]() Michigan rookie Leon Hall steps in front of Ben Troupe to pick off a Jeff Garcia pass. He later returned that interception 23 yards for a Shamrock score. BOSTON (AP)- When the Houston Texans took David Carr as the overall #1 pick in the 2002 NFL Draft, many people questioned the decision. After being cut before this season, those people that questioned his ability were thought to be right. And when Boston took him with intentions on becoming the Shamrocks' starting quarterback, people thought it was deja vu all over again. Well today, they thought wrong. Carr threw 3 touchdowns in a big 58-32 win over the San Diego Chargers. Jeff Garcia tore up the Shamrock secondary as he threw for 513 yards and 4 touchdowns. He also threw 3 costly interceptions, including one returned for a touchdown by rookie cornerback Leon Hall. The teams traded field goals early in the first quarter, and then Garcia hit Brandon Marshall on a 76 yard strike. After a touchback on the kickoff, Shaun Alexander, who had 207 yards and three touchdowns on the day, saw daylight and broke off a 80 yard touchdown run. In the second quarter, Carr found sensational rookie Steve Breaston for a 70 yard touchdown. Breaston had another great game, as he caught 5 passes for 175 yards and the touchdown mentioned above. After the only points in the third quarter were from Justin Medlock's leg, the fourth quarter opened up with another Alexander touchdown. This one was sightly shorter from the first one, about 78 yards shorter. Garcia then found Troupe for six, but Carr found Jerious Norwood about just as fast. "I'm really impressed with our rookies we drafted," Coach Pete Carroll says. "[Steve] Breaston has been an awesome returner and an even better receiver. Leon [Hall] played well today, and Justin [Medlock] doesn't know how to miss. (laughs) He's probably one of the only good players that have came out of UCLA." He continued on praising players, saying, "David Carr played extremely well today. He definitely proved why he was a #1 pick." The Shamrocks face their first in-division foe next week, as the Buffalo Bills come to Boston. Re: A New Beginning - A Boston Shamrocks Fantasy Draft 'Chise
alexander is rated 95, i didn't change his rating at all.
the only people's ratings i changed were some of the players i liked, some of the tennessee titans, and some of the players i can't stand. i only changed them like 2-3 rating points though. and you think my pass defense was bad that game, wait till you see who tears me up later in the year. __________________ ![]() big ups to Macken for the sig, thanks bro.
