and no, not a death in the family. we won friday night, but with a penn state scout in the stands, i sucked. i had like 1 tackle and no catches. plus, i'm having girl problems (i know, that never happens right?) that have gotten me down. 501st POST! i'd like to thank everyone who's followed this 'chise, and making it as successful as it's become. special thanks to YoungWonda, G-Men, Apocalypse, and KFox, as they've followed from basically the beginning. here's to 500 more! Re: A New Beginning - A Boston Shamrocks Fantasy Draft 'Chise
Lol, sometimes i get annoyed when i watch around the horn..:D
But, it's a change of pace than everyone doing interviews and breaking news with ESPN, or Sportscenter, like me, haha.. Nice job woy, i can't wait to see this get 1000 posts. :] EDIT: Yeah, Paige is my favorite also, he's hilarious at times. Which most of the time is 24/7. He has to think of the stuff he does on the show in his sleep. :D Last edited by Apocalypse21691 : 10-06-2008 at 09:22 PM. |

Re: A New Beginning - A Boston Shamrocks Fantasy Draft 'Chise
MAKING A STATEMENT
![]()
BOSTON (AP)- After hearing some of the comments made by the Around the Horn analysts, the Shamrocks knew they had something to prove to the world that they are still the elite team in the NFL. Boy did they ever make a statement. Led by rookie Colt Brennan, the Shamrocks throttled the St. Louis Rams, 58-7. Brennan led the charge with five touchdown passes on fifteen attempts. Justin Medlock started the scoring off with a field goal from 20 yards out, and then Usama Young picked off a J.P. Losman pass and ran it back 80 yards to pay dirt. Brennan started the aerial assault after that with a 35 yard screen pass to Jerious Norwood. He continued into the second quarter with a 8 yard strike to Jerricho Cotchery, followed by a 73 yard bomb to Roy Williams. Norwood lined up as the slot receiver and was matched up with a linebacker on the next drive. Realizing the mismatch, Brennan audibled Norwood’s route into a deep post and he ran right by the player trying to cover him. Steve “ATM (Automatic Touchdown Machine)” Breaston got into the action with a deep route himself. Losman found Braylon Edwards late in the half to give the Rams their first touchdown. With Boston’s second-string offense in, Run-DMC found the end zone in the fourth quarter, sandwiched in between two Medlock field goals. The Shamrocks improve to 7-1 and will host the Arizona Cardinals in the rematch of the greatest Super Bowl ever last year.
